Bourdon looked impressive, both physical and offensive. It was a fun game to watch.
Just watched the tape last night. Bourdon made several great hits and some really good passes. Great hockey sense and feel for the game.
His skating will hold him back, if anything. He got beat outside once in the first period and grabbed the guy's arm, a la Brad Marsh, and got away with it. He shouldn't have. A couple times he hooked or held guys to slow them up in ways that will hurt him in the NHL/AHL.
However, he made life a misery for the amazingly good Taylor Hall.
I'm hopeful he'll keep working on his skating and, with a couple years in the AHL, he might be an NHL player. Then again, I said the same thing about Ruggieri and he never made it out of the ECHL....
Edit: just went to CHL site and there's an interview with Bourdon.
