Carolina Hurricanes
Cole, Erik - Sign for $3 million or less, or hit the road
Ruutu, Tuomo - Resign for $3-4 mil.
Seidenberg, Dennis - Gone
LaRose, Chad - Resign after a terrific playoff. $2 mil.
Gillies, Trevor - Gone
Bayda, Ryan - Resign for under a mil., works his ass off
Ryan, Michael - Who cares, gone I guess
Jokinen, Jussi - Resign? He signed Sammy so I'd assume he'd sign JJ too for a $2 mil. deal
Babchuk, Anton - Resign, great season. $2-3 mil.

Detroit.

UFA
Hossa, barring an unfathomable sweetheart deal (sub $5M/yr) he's gone. Too many integral pieces have to be moved to make room. Even sub-$5M/yr one of Filppula, Kronwall, Stuart, Cleary have to go. Beyond that it would take two (or Rafalski) to make room.
Conklin, gone.
Chelios, gone.
Samuelsson, gone unless he's willing to continue playing for essentially $1M/yr.
Kopecky, probably gone if he tries to follow the rest of the Slovak pack. He's dime a dozen and the Wings have a couple kids that can take his spot without blinking.

RFA
Hudler, re-signed at $2-3M/yr at term. The longer the contract the higher it goes. I see a 4-5 year $8-12M contract.

RFA's

Nik Zherdev-signs his QO of $3.25 million
Brandon Dubinsky-3 years/$1.75 million per/$5.25 million
Ryan Callahan-3 years/$1.75 million per/$5.25 million
Lauri Korpikoski-signs his QO of $1,033,410
Fredrik Sjostrom-signs his QO of $882,000

The Rangers need to see much more from Zherdev before making a commitment to him.

Dubinsky and Callahan are keepers. Those contracts are Ryan Kesler's contract.

Korpikoski and Sjostrom. 1 year contracts.

He denied ever requesting a trade in a Finnish media outlet some time during the season. I remember seeing it over in Nashville's forum but don't have the link.

If the price is right and he's willing to earn his spot on the roster, I wouldn't be completely opposed to bringing him back.

Flames

Bertuzzi-please be gone!
Lundmark-would love him back, and he will be cheap. Can play that top 6 role offensively, but his defensive game needs some work. Great skill though
Cammy-Fingers crossed he comes back. not sure what he wants though. if it gets to silly numbers no chance
Aucoin-fine to leave by me
Leopold-has a lot of potential, and can still grow, but not to keen on keeping him around
Roy-no need. Good as gone

Dubinsky will require at least $2.6M per year. At that number, another team can sign him to an offer sheet and only give up a 2nd round pick. Dubinsky is worth more than a 2nd, so I would expect some team will offer him as much as $2.6M per, which the Rags would probably match. An offer sheet of over $2.6M per year would require a 1st and 3rd pick, which is probably too much for another team to give up for Dubie. Ditto for Callahan.

Besides the offer sheet compensation issue, $1.75M is just too low a salary for these guys compared to similar players. Right down the road, Trent Hunter was resigned last year for $2M per year. Similar style and stats as Dubie and Callahan, but they are both younger than Hunter. I would expect them to each make as much or more than Hunter.

CBJ from my perspective:

One (maybe two) of Malhotra, Williams and Peca will be resigned. I've said this for a while. If it's two, I'm thinking Peca will be wearing a new jersey next year. (Malhotra is already in contract discussions with the CBJ on an extension.)

Aaron Rome- Re-signed for depth.
Mike York- Maybe re-signed for depth if he can be had for cheap. I think he was one of the leading scorers in Syracuse.
Craig MacDonald- Re-signed maybe? He played well in his brief stint with the CBJ.
Wade Dubielewicz- Most likely gone, re-signed only if Howson doesn't get us an upgrade in the backup goalie department.
Chris Gratton- Probably gone.
Steve Kelly- Who knows.
Backman- How do you say "See ya" in Swedish?

Patrice Brisebois-Hopefully retires.
Francis Bouillon Gone. Good 5th or 6th dman. He will probably be looking for a 2-3 years contract and the Habs won't give him that kind of contract.
Mathieu Dandenault Gone. See Bouillon
Marc Denis Gone
Mike Glumac I hope that we keep him in Hamilton. He was one of the best scorer in the AHL.
Alex Henry Gone. Had a good year in the AHL. Will probably try to find a 7th spot somewhere in the NHL or go to Europe
Doug Janik Gone. Was waived/traded like 10 times this season. Will probably try to find stability in Europe
Saku Koivu Though one. A lot of people wants to see him gone but I think that he can still help the team. I hope that he stays but he will have to take a paycut 3-3.5 millions for 2/3 years
Mike Komisarek Depends on how much he asks. He had a really bad season but he probably played injured. If he asks for more than 5 millions, he is gone
Tom Kostopolos Great 4th liner. His teamates love him. Will probably stay for around one million.
Alex Kovalev Weird case. The media and the fan have a love/hate relationship with the guy. Sometimes he is the "magician", sometimes he is the worst player on the team. He had a really bad season until the month of march where he pretty much brought his team to the playoffs. He is a great guy, he loves the city, he even has fundation and did a few cameos in TV shows but he is not getting younger and he is too inconsistent so I don't want him back.
Robert Lang Had a great season but with his age and the injury he had, he is probably gone
Yannick Lehoux Gone
Mathieu Schneider Could be back as a 5th or 6th if he is willing to sign for two millions or less
Alex Tanguay We gived two high draft picks to get him so it would be a failure to see him go after playing only 50 games with us. He has some offensive skills but he is invisible most of the time. It is kind of weird because he is the best french canadian forward we had since Vincent Damphousse, but the fans and the media don't seem to put much pressure on him unlike Koivu and Kovalev. He arrived here during that troubled century year and he was very angry after some journalists reported that he faked an injury in the playoffs. I would keep him for 2 or 3 year at a salary somewhere 4-5 millions if he wants to be back.

Toronto:

Brad May - I could see him being brought back to assume the same role
Jeff Hamilton - Let him walk.
Ryan Hollweg - 2 yrs, 10 mill (Seriously, will never play in the NHL again)
Mikhail Grabovski - 2 years, 4 million seems reasonable
Boyd Devereaux - Gone...thanks Boyd..

Jay Harrison - Would like to see brought back as a 7 or a Marlie leader

Kolzing - Gone
Gerber - Gone
Joseph - Gone
