No because we'll soon have the Star Académie contestants for this.

If it can prevent us from hiring Star Academie candidates, I'm fine with it.

But give him a few years.

I thought Celine Dion was the one to sing the anthem once Rene buys the Habs

No thanks, by the way his music is not great but certainly not as bad as I would have thought. He sounds like John Mayer.

Yeah, not my style, but the guys actually can sing. Backup career for a backup goalie?

I second that, unless they start singing the Russian National Anthem, now that would be musically good.

The NHL introduced the national anthem in the mid 40's as a sign of respect to the players that came back from WWII.

Time to move the f--k on.

I was actually with Angelo Esposito the other night, who is friends with Roy and he was playing his cd. Like someone else said, its not entirely my cup of tea, but he can actually sing and some of his stuff doesnt sound that bad.

I think it would say a lot more if someone who wasn't good friends wiht him to be listening to it.

err...no...unless we want a thug that can take care of business in the back alleys...(yeah right)...
On the otherhand, he isn't as monumentally bad as I would have thought singing wise..http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FwCtK...eature=related
Like the guy said before me, not my cup of tea but he isn't 'horrible' like way too many singers are these days.

Especially now with a good 40% of the players coming from countries OTHER than US and Canada !

That may be a bit unfair. It's hard to judge, given his limited time, but his stats were not bad for the Q. Admitedly, usually on good teams.

I would guess he'll be a career minor leaguer with some upside in Europe, but I wouldn't quite count out those genetics.
