Which one?

Well everyone knows my obsession over MATT ****ING STAIRS, and if you don't you will now. But I think it is time to invest in a Phils MATT ****ING STAIRS jersey. Obviously it wont have ****ING STAIRS on the back of it. However I am at a real tossup as to which jersey to get. I already have a white with red pinstripe Lidge jersey and I am not sure if I should get the MATT ****ING STAIRS jersey with the same jersey. Im not too big a fan of the grey jerseys even though that was the jersey he hit the bomb in LA. The alternate jerseys are pretty cool too. I wasnt sure if I should save up and spend the money on the Phillies gold plated home opener jersey which would cost me roughly 200 bucks. All the other jerseys cost around 70-80 dollars.

If you were in my predicament and wanted to do MATT ****ING STAIRS some justice which jersey would you pick?

Personally, the only jersey I like is the white with the pinstripes. Although, to be fair, I don't think I've seen the gold plated one. The gray and the alternate - I just never liked!

I like the pinstripe one myself.

I found this while searching, thought I'd share, for your Matt ****ing Stairs files...

I actually like the grey road jersey, but behind the white pins... I voted -- 1st time I'm allowed, BTW -- for the grey, since you have a white and the greys looks sweet... being not the run of the mill pin stripe white that everybody has.

But, to be honest, I don't own a roadie... I have a home replica Burrell, but with the rounded pro type numbers -- a rarity, most replicas have those squared off generic MLB personalization -- and my son got me an authentic Hamels third for Christmas when they first came out... And a plain unpersonalized white pin stripe that I will wear on my vacation in Italy.

I don't really have any fondness for the gold trimmed champion home opener jersey... a lot of dough for a so, so looking version. I'd rather have a retro Schmidt or Carlton if I were to spend the bread -- or better yet, a Ashburn or Roberts retro-retro,,, or maybe my all time favorite player, Tony Taylor's #8 from his first stint.

Go with whatever he was wearing when he hit the homer. Can't totally remember, but an away night game would lead me to believe gray.

That's not the homer everybody is talking about. He hit it against LA in game 4 of the NLCS.

I'm pretty sure the Game 4 pinch hit homer was in LA.

So it would have been gray then also.

EDIT: Yup, it was in LA.

DAMN... I was duped... I went by the YouTube heading and description without looking at the opposing team. So much for trusting.

Thanks for pointing that out... I am embarrassed... but it had to be corrected.

EDIT: Never mind... I see what I did... I was thinking that Harry's last HR call was the WS one. If I'd had thought better, I'd have realized that there were home runs in the WS series vs TB... and that he did broadcast the early season 2009 games, which had HRs.

I feel so dumb... late night postings have their bad points.

And another thing that makes my error so dumb... being a postseason game, Harry didn't even do the TV coverage.

Haha, I was just gonna post that your trophy needs to be revoked. But maybe I'll just make a Rookie Dumbass Award.

That one I'd win hand down every year... When it comes to boneheaded mistakes, I am the maestro -- may be the 'roids.
