On a team that couldn't compete? What tournament were you watching? In the WJC that I watched, Slovakia booked plane tickets home for Finland and USA, and lead Sweden in the SF for 41 minutes.

As for him being the best player on the team by a mile, what about Jaroslav Janus, Tomas Tatar, and Juraj Valach? Your entire entry was very uninformed in my opinion.

I've always wondered how different the countries consider themselves to be. I made the mistake of calling a Czech a Slovak and when I apologized they said not to worry, that it was basically the same thing. Which surprised me.

ive said it for a while i think he is going to be good and would like to see the canucks try and snag him.

Panik-Hodgson-Grabner

how is that for a line in the future?

I agree. Though I think the Sabres should take him and sign Petr Cajanek. I'd love to see a Vanek-Cajanek-Panik line.

Will probably play in Windsor next year.

Fowler and Panik=trouble for the rest of the OHL.

I think you mean...

Hall, Ellis, Panik, Fowler.....good chance of Nemisz still as well.

Also, a rumour of Jack Campbell/Kenny Ryan coming to Windsor. Not sure the truth but have hear it through people who work with the Spits.

I think Lokitonov is going to the A for sure. Shutron, Engelage and Kwiet are gone as for sure as well.

I doubt he slips into the middle of the 3rd rd. If that were the case, Panik may be quite the steal.

I think Panik will be an early 2nd rd pick.

Also you guys will have.. Blacker, Shugg, Watson, Henrique and Cundari to name a few... still a stacked roster for next year.

But anyways I hope the islanders could potentially snag Panik if he's the BPA at 31st overall.

Right, because kids in European men's leagues never see less ice time at the senior level unless they just flat-out suck.

Panik could go anywhere from 25 to 60. I think the kid's got a pretty good shot and moves well on his skates. Yeah, he's a bit of a floater, but so was Lemieux, he just managed it really well. Panik can do the same thing with a little development time. He's still kind of raw, but I could definitely see him being a top six winger in the NHL.

I think Matt Lombardi is a perfect comparison to Wellwood.

He certainly didn't help his draft stock at WJC's, I could see him going early 2nd round.

Is Panik this year's version of Mikael Stefanovich? Talent-wise he is up there but hasn't been able to put it all together? I'm just wondering if we'll see him drop down further than we all expect.
