Lets exclude Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin, anddddd Ovechkin.

Ryan Getzlaf would be my choice !

One of:

Zach Parise
Ryan Getzlaf
Mike Green

Really depends what I was looking for to build a team around.

Getzlaf

Erik Johnson fell off the radar due to his injury but he'll be awesome and I doubt anyone would think of him if i didnt mention him.

Ryan Getzlaf. Fills all our needs and he will be 25 to 35 yr old playing for us which is perfect.

I did think of him, but losing one season didn't help. And he's not as proven as others.

I think he'll be a fantastic player though... Just not my first choice for a 10-years contract.

I'd eye someone like Shea Weber.

It's more important to build around a top D-man than anything else and Weber is a more complete D-man than say Mike Green.

Shea Weber, Malkin, Crosby....10 years is a long long time in hockey. I know the last two are excluded but they're the guys I really would sign to that term. O.V.'ll be on crutches by then the rate he's going.

Gaborik in this year UFA has the best potential. Problem here is his health. If you ask me, if next year he gets more groin problems, thats it for him I think. On the other hand, he just got all tuned up, had time to properly heal. This guy can dominate.

After the doc looks at him and tells me he is tip top shape, Gaborik is my choice.
