Al Davis burnt so many bridges in SoCal it won't happen as long as he's alive.

When and if, God forbid, it's a possibility.

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- City Council members in the city of Industry unanimously approved a proposal Thursday for a pro football stadium intended to lure a team back to the Los Angeles area.

The vote helped clear the way for developers of the $800 million venue to begin talks with NFL teams about a possible move to the industrial and warehousing city 15 miles east of Los Angeles.
There's some talk in the article of nearby cities in the county filing lawsuits to prevent the stadium from being built, could be the beginning of a return to LA for the NFL though.

Don't count San Antonio out of the equation either. Personally I would prefer to see the Rams back in LA but San Antonio has shown that they can support a team when the Saints were displaced.

LA doesn't need a NFL football team. First of all they have USC which already counts as a professional football team. Second of all even if the Rams were to relocate to LA where would they play? Would they even get a new stadium? The politics over a new stadium in LA has been going on for years, don't expect them to just play in the Coliseum or the Rose Bowl lol

IMO no relocation is needed. The Rams are fine where they are right now.

That will be 2 franchises that will be out of St.Louis, the Cardinals and the Rams. Los Angeles, with all the debate on a new stadium and upgrading LA Memorial, would they care if the Rams came back? Hell, they played the remaining 15 years in Anaheim Stadium when they couldn't get a deal done with LA Memorial..

IF they do come back to Los Angeles, what are the odds that they'll entertain the massive fan base.

Ed Roski is going to build a stadium in Industry. He has to deal with some litigation (environmentalists, neighboring city) first, but it's gonna happen. He already paid the city of Diamond Bar 20 million bucks in a settlement over the possible stadium. I'm pretty sure he's gonna go through with it, all that will be left is a tenant and I'm sure that won't be too hard to find.

Yes, the stadium in Industry will be built in all likelihood. As long as they can find a temporary home in the Coliseum or the Rose Bowl, it will be possible to move them immediately. The bigger question should be who would buy the team? Roski wants minority ownership in whatever team plays in the stadium... will he be able to get a group together?

EDIT: Here's the website for the Industry Stadium, in case anyone hasn't seen it. http://www.losangelesfootballstadium.com/

St. Louis Blues Chairman Dave Checketts is apparently going to make a serious run at buying the Rams.

That's where they used to play before moving to St. Louis. I doubt that would happen again.

Sorry to burst some dreams here but the lease in the dome doesnt run out until after the 2014 season, So 90% chance they are staying till then. And Im hoping Checketts can get enough local interest for local business owners to keep them after.

LA pretty much set for NFL team in a few years

http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/lano...y-stadium.html

Last hurdle seems to be gone.

7 teams are going to be targeted after this year ends to move to LA ( Min , Buf , Stl , Oak , SD , SF and Jac)

I think the best option would be Raiders moving back because of there history and amount of fans in city.

Best option is probably SD, they only play a few hundred miles away and they could make the move up north.

Anyways the new stadium projected to be constructed in Industry looks nice

SD would also be a likely and almost surefire team to move but the Chargers haven't played in LA in almost 50 yrs and dont have much of a fanbase built up in LA area that I know of.

Raiders and Rams make more sense as there are still large fanbases of those 2 teams in city

Forget the Raiders, atleast as long as that senile old man is still in charge.

No one wants to do business with him.

If the Chargers don't move, then the Jags might relocate

Probably the most likely candidate other than San Diego...given their frequent blackouts and attendance issues lol

I am afraid of the Raiders movign back. The last thing the wold should ever do is encourage Raiders fan in So Cal.

I am fully supporting the Raiders moving to So Cal. That would be awesome. You can have their fans too.

Agreed.....I can't see how the Jags can possibly survive longterm in Jax the way things are going now.
