Streit is not worth more than the 8th pick. I wouldn't trade that pick for Streit or Kaberle for that matter. We have a potential PPQB with Vishnevskiy. It's not like Streit was developed by the Islanders, he was a free agent pick-up. Like I said before, I'd rather try and sign a guy than trade the 8th for him. It's a pointless trade for Dallas as Hull/Jackson said they are holding that pick like gold, and sorry Streit isn't gold.

I don't think we all need to discuss this any longer.

There'd be little need for the Isles to trade Streit and Dallas can certainly use its pick.

The OP suggestion has more to do with the Isles getting their hands on pick #2 without losing pick #1.

In other trade threads, it's been Colorado or Montreal or Toronto or LA.... just fans playing around to kill the time before it all goes down in a little less than 4 weeks.

What player do the Stars plan to select at 8? Will any of them likely be better than Streit?

Nope

All draft picks are not equal. Using that logic Detroit's first is worth the same as NYIs.

Can i borrow your time machine to see if Ottawa's 9th pick will be as good as Streit?

He has had 3 good seasons, i won't dispute that. But to suggest that the 8th pick will not be as good is a little premature. Wait it out one or two seasons and then you can make claims like that.
