You guys are nuts if you throw him in any trade proposal.

BTW he stated that he wanna stay in L.A.
there is no reason for that free agent stuff.

As soon as he signs, you ahve to throw in Kessel + to
get the ear of Lombardi
Good to know because if LA offered Johnson straight up for Kessel, Chiarelli would laugh in Lombardi's face, hang up and call him back just to laugh in his face some more.

No way from Boston.

1. Stoll isn't as good as Johnson
2. Boston doesn't need another center. The need a solid puck moving defensemen.

The first deal is much closer than this one.

11 goaltenders in two years & having Rob Blake as his mentor has nothing to do with that right?

For the sake of the argument:

Let's say Kessel = the 5th. We can debate that, but he was drafted 5th not too long ago, and at worst you can say that he has lived up to that choice.

That leaves us with:

Stoll for 25

Yes the Bruins will gladly give up a 1st round pick for what would be their 4th line Center.

Back to the drawing boad.

Sure it does. But so does his own play. He just hasn't been that good. Seriously, he may someday become what you think he will become, but right now Tim Gleason is EASILY the better player.

If your objective is to make Boston suck... really really bad... this is a great way to put your plan in motion.

Up next... Krejci for Brandon Sutter. Offense is overrated!

You tell someone to put down the crack pipe and then you propose this:

We have three centres better than Stoll and he gets paid like a 2nd liner when he's a 3rd liner and we don't have a whole lot of cap space. Kessel's much more valuable than the fifth overall pick and we'll keep the 25th rather than trading for a contract we don't need.

I get it if you really don't want to give up Simmonds but it's really not that bad of a proposal. I'd actually still rather keep Kessel than do it though.

No interest in Purcell. And Boston isn't looking to give up their pick.

HAHHAHAHAHA...I'm on your side...

But I'm not dealing Kessel for some draft pick that will help in 3-4 years...

I'm keeping him, but if Chia does deal him, these would be the types of players the Bruins would want back.

How about just no all around to these trades? We can go get Poni + 7th for the 5th and guy gets better every season.

And we will keep our s h i t t y players. Thanks.

It's going to take more than Johnson, Boston will want Hickey and Moller too.

To LA:
Kessel
Sturm

To Boston:
Johnson
Hickey
Moller
2nd 2009
3rd 2010

That's what it would take for Boston to not hang up the phone.

Agreed 100%...Being a Bruins fan, I want to keep Kessel, but if I could get Simmonds and Johnson for a guy that may want 4.5 mil a year (too much for our cap it would seem) is a great deal IMO. Simmonds is an up and comer and Johnson's best days are ahead of him IMO...

Top 9

Lucic-Savard-Ryder
Sturm-Krejci-Wheeler
Simmonds-Bergeron-Kobasew

Defense

Chara-Johnson
Wideman-Stuart
Hunwick-Ward

Pretty solid IF Bruins have to/want to deal Kessel.

Actually I think Boston might do it without the picks.

How do you know JJ won't want $4 million a year?
