He's a nice complimentary on the right team and role, 2.5-3 a year is a fair price. I'd love to see him on the Kings 3rd line with Handzus & Simmonds.

If Pahlsson is asking for anywhere near 3m a year he is out of his mind.

Come on, be reasonable, yeah he's a good veteran and very good defensively, but there is no offensive upside at all and as such cannot be put on top two lines. These players are not THAT hard to acquire, and if they are asking for that with a potential cap crash coming, I hope they enjoy playing in Europe.

I am hoping the Hawks resign him somewhere in the 1.5m per range. If he goes higher than that, he can walk.

He'd look great on Philly's third line.

Pahlsson will get in the 2.5 million per season range on the free agent market.

Pahlsson should not make more than $2mil. He wins faceoffs and is not the shutdown center he used to be (as in that one time in the playoffs).

If he could be had for 1.5m (keep in mind his current cap hit was 1.4m), Anaheim would have never dealt him in the first place.

Shussssh

Dont tell this to Hawk fans who think players are going to sign in Chicago for discounted contracts because McEgo has brain washed the players into thinking "theres something special happenin".

Sammy is the least of the Hawks worries, is a servicable centre whom this team could use, played excellent even when he wasnt 100% his whole time while on the Hawks, and wont be signed for less than 3 million.

A shut down centre or a huge hole on the third/fouth line? Hmmmm
