We'll limit to the west, because there is no way Murray is stupid enough to trade him in-conference and the TSN article states that Heatley is believed to be looking at a Western Conference team.

Ducks: Ryan+ or Perry+
Flames: Phaneuf+ (i really hope not)
Hawks: I'd hope we ask for Keith
Avs: Duchene +
BJs: Filatov++
Stars: I dont see it, but it would have to includ #8 overall
Detroit: no way
Oil: Dont have the one key piece needed.
Kings: Have a lot of pieces, but are they willing to give up multiple good young pieces for that "next step"?
Wild: dont see it.
Nashville: salary-no
Yotes: salary-no
Sharks: no space
Blues: see LA
Canucks: Hodgson+
Wild are losing 6.3 from Gaborik. Easy to fit Heater in.

thornton
for
sturm
stuart
primeau

pronger i cant remmebr exactly but when oil got him the key piece was brewer adn when they traded him they key return was smid i believe

superstars dont get back superstars i see about three middle of the rung decent NHLers a first and a prospect would be the most you could get especially when you see guys on FA that could be had for nothin ill be it not quite as good but i mean cammy scored same goasl as heater this year

Maybe they are problems in the locker room. Maybe he's the problem. Maybe he had sex with the team's masseuse, maybe he doesn't like Alfredsson. There's a lot of maybes, but we don't know for sure what they are.

Maybe the guy "misremembered" what Heatley said. Who knows.

He was asked to be traded from Atlanta for a good reason.

yes the kid who grew up a die hard Flames fan in Calgary and had them on his short list when getting traded from Atlanta wouldn't waive his NTC to go to Calgary... Heatley has been very open about wanting to play for the Flames in the past

Do you know which team Heatley grew up following?
Hint: it had a goal-scoring legend who wore #16.

STL definitely has the assets to make a deal possible, and Heatley would certainly waive the NMC to go there. Only problem would be the contract and the Blues eagerness to trade their young talent away him. I don't see it happening, but it's not because Heatley wouldn't go there.

Heatley and Smith for isles #1 overall. Use the $$ to sign Gaborik.

I'll guess the Oilers, based on his NMC and him being from around there. O'Sullivan, Grebeshkov/Gilbert (one of them), and something else would probably head our way.

NYI drafts Hedman.

Tampa drafts Tavares.

Then trades Lecavalier for Heatley.

Done.

Both teams prosper.

Didnt the Sens make a huge push for Campbell when he was a FA? If I recall they did, so theres interest.

Toews/ Heatley= sick.

Heatley is great at putting the puck in the net (one of the best in the league), but he is very soft, and outside of the opponents blue line worthless in my opinion.

Guigere + picks/prospects for Heatley? That could be enough to put the Ducks over the top.

Heatley grew up following the Flames... and that goal scoring legend wasn't a legend back when he was a Flame ... he may have idolized Hull but he grew up a Flames fan

I think if Lecavalier is traded, it's because they can't afford to pay him, not because they have too many centers.

Lecavalier is the heart and soul of the Lightning, he doesn't go unless they just can't afford to keep him, and can't take back equal salary if he does go. I think they'd move Tavares or Stamkos to wing before moving Lecavalier if they can afford to keep him and NYI pick Hedman..

Wow! They've just confirmed on TSN that Dany Heatley has requested a trade?!?!

WTF.

Maybe he's a cancer of some sort? I can't figure out for the life of me why he'd want out.

JJ and the 5th overall should be enough for your disgruntled winger.
If by JJ you meant Brown, then yeah, you're right. Otherwise, LA doesn't have what it takes to get Heatley.

Disgruntled prospect and top prospect for disgruntled top 5 goal scorer in hockey just doesn't work.

Jack Johnson, Brown, and 5th.

JJ is the least in this deal cuz he hasn't done jack squat yet in the NHL.

Ottawa's end is based a lot on potential, LA is getting proven 50 goal 100 pt player at 28.
