lol someone needs to make a poll. If anyone does, make sure you include Tom Gilbert, it's mandatory he's in every poll now.

Ya I know, I was angry, I hit the post button before I read it through There is no way Anaheim trades Getzlaf. More reasonable is Ryan, prospect and a first.
Thanks for not hitting me with a brick

My proposal: To Anaheim for Perry and Getzlaf
You're going to be very shocked when a trade happens...

ITT- We get a preview of an off season of worthless Heatley threads.

I have long said that I think Heater would make a better compliment to Sid than any other wing in the game, but it isn't going to happen. Any trade we would put together would **** us in too many other ways and we just can't afford it.

The Pens have no need whatsoever for Heatley, especially at the cost of Fleury and Staal.

Pens trade

Marc-Andre Fleury cap hit of 5 mil through 2014-15
Jordan Staal cap hit of 4 mil through 2012-13
Brooks Orpik cap hit of 3.75 through 2013-14
Total cap hit of 12.75

Sens trade

Dany Heatley cap hit of 7.5 mil through 2013-14
Anton Volchenkov cap hit of 2.5 UFA at the end of next season
Pascal Leclaire cap hit of 3.8 through 2010-11
Total cap hit of 13.8

The reasoning this trade works for Pittsburgh, gives Crosby a winger he will have for a long time with be a match made from heaven. Crosby even stated his he could pick a winger he would choose Heater.

The reasoning this trade works for Ottawa, gives a good young center in Staal at a nice cap hit would be a 1 2 combo with Spezza. Fluery is a proven goalie only 24 still young and made it to the stanley cup finals, and Orpik is a good stay at home defensemen who is a good top defensemen.

Anyway I have different feelings on my own trade proposal but this is what I feel the value would be for Heatley. Thoughts try not to flame too hard.
as good as it would be for pitts to get heatley, i dont see pitts giving up on there franchise goalie

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that the Pens probably wouldn't be too eager to blow up the team by parting with 3 huge reasons why they made it to consecutive Cup Finals, all to acquire yet another incredibly highly-paid forward.

Never mind that Staal's really starting to blossom and could potentially be as valuable as Heatley in a couple years time, considering their respective contracts.

Pronger got Lupul Smid and two late firsts, Heatley is not the same value but the Ryan proposal is not that bad

Getzlaf and Perry isn't enough for Heatley. Anaheim should throw in Bobby Ryan as well. That's a lot to give up for the ducks, so to be fair Ottawa will throw in Christoph Schubert.
