So I'll ask it....What you want on your blog?

I cut my teeth on this site since 2002. Without posting with all of you, I wouldn't be the good//****wad/hard-ass/fun-loving/your-adjective-here blogger I am now.

So now that I have broken away from the Hockeybuzz hive, I run IslandersIndependent.com solely as my blog. (besides now RangersIndependent.com with my brother)

So, this summer, I am trying to figure out...besides following the draft and Lighthouse Project stuff, what else I can do.

What do you, as Isles fans, want on your blog? Seriously.

I tend to go with whatever I feel/think at a time...but I don't do regular features. So, it tends to be freeform. I go with whatever strikes me. But that isn't always a good thing.

Podcast? Video? More funny images?

So since this is a group I know, respect, link-to on my own blog as the best messageboard for Isles hockey...I figured I'd ask my peers to what you like, don't like, etc.

Just throwing it out there.

Who here would you say is the Borg Queen, hmm?

I can't really think of what else you can really write during the offseason on a hockey blog. Just stick to writing pieces of substance, that's much more appreciated than fluff stories.

A "where are they now" feature on such legends as Deidre the ice girl and Jane Doe the Doolin's hostess would be something I would read

Can you do a peice on Goldie? I mean in depth, multiple post piece. Maybe track him down, do a few videos. I'd definately tune in for that.

damn you all...i should have said serious answers only

prospects: sound good. will hit that up after draft/agency frenzy. sounds like a good mid-summer series.

A KC expose might be in the works. But I'd really need to dig up all the decapitated hookers.

Boobies are always good! But in all seriousness, maybe some write-ups on some of the non-cup teams that had relatively successful seasons like the first few post-dynasty years with LaFontaine and Sutter as captain or of course the 92-93 team. I feel like as Isles fans all we hear/talk about is the Dynasty and the 2001-2002 series vs. the Leafs. I'm 31 years old...almost too young to really remember the Dynasty, but old enough to remember seeing some success before the Fishsticks/Milstern era. It would be nice to read about those years for a change.

You should consider the 'where are they now' comment on Dierdre the ice girl as serious. She's the original Ice Girl (the OIG) used in all of the LIRR advertisements. It made my morning commute a little bit easier.

That's funny, I would think it would have made your commute a little bit harder.

I was going to say a little more relaxing, but I figured that may trigger some comments.

The Oleg Kvasha one is intriguing.

I really couldn't care where some ice girl is now. Sorry. Sounds like a Botta piece than for me to do.

How about why, in all seriousness, does my tv flicker and buzz whenever the name Oleg Yashin is mentioned in my living room? I keep expecting a black and white image of a well when it's happening, but all I get is a crisp buzz and the dog hides under the bed.
