This is covered in the Tippet thread, but I will say this... Crawford will beat the Kings just to spite us.
That is what I was thinking Dallas is an older team. Would be funny if they did well and Crawford beat us out of spite.
"It has not been a good day. I lost my glasses early this morning and I had to go buy a pair of 79 dollar reading glasses today. 79 bucks. You can literally get them at Costco, three-for-20." - Darryl Sutter's response to going up 2-0 in the series.
I wasn't a fan of Crawford by any stretch but he didn't exactly have the best players to work with here. And 7 goalies in one season? As much as I or anyone else dislikes him, you have to factor that in.
SJ is a question mark - they may be a mess, they may come out motivated
Anaheim will unquestionably worse next year - the chance of the Niedermayer brothers leaving only makes the beginning of the decline more conspicuous
the Coyotes might not even be in Phoenix? Financial issues...
and now Dallas has Crawford...
I seriously doubt that Sharks finish with less than 106 points next year (before their anuual playoff implosion) and Stars and Quacks suffered through a lot of injuries last year so I think West will still be a tough division but not as tough as Central.
Someone might have pointed this out earlier in the thread, but those are two guys especially who may flower under Crawford. He's got a pretty good track record with developing power forwards.
True. Wasn't that pre-having-to-go-to-court-for-Bertuzzi though?
I was mostly just going off his rep for young players not caring for his yelling and antics. I think it will have more to do with those 4 player's attitude than it will what style of game they play. Crawford is great for offense, but bad for fragile, growing minds (not saying those guys are weak, just that they are young).
