Interesting, Penguins may have more Quebecers than the Habs

So the Penguins have 7 Quebecers. Very interesting. What are the factors? Is the media at fault? Is it Quebecers who are afraid of the pressure? Habs have to do anything in their power to get Lecavalier. Keep Tanguay. Sign Beauchemin. Draft Louis Leblanc. Sign Latendresse to a long term contract. Which Quebec players would help the Habs?

And how does this make the Habs a better team?

I think you're missing the point about how to build a Stanley Cup winner.

Ya..They won the cup thanks to Talbot.

Take Crosby, Malkin, Gonchar out and they would have still won the cup.

- Dupuis was a healthy scratch till the 3rd game and he did nothing except cheapshotting Kronwall and finishing at -5.
- Boucher hasn't played in the finals at all.
- Garon played a whopping 24 mins in the entire playoffs.
- Talbot had the game of his life in game 7, no doubt about it, but his entire playoffs run isn't that impressive considering he played with Malkin/Staal as center. But when he scores, it's always clutch goals. I'll give him that.
- Fleury is the perfect example that before drafting young Q players, we should just MAKE SURE WE LET THE YOUNG GUYS DEVELOP BEFORE RUNNING THEM OUT OF TOWN (hello Réjaune!).

And last year, the winning team had 0. No correlation.

...and the most important Quebecer with the Penguins was a first pick overall.

.....I warned you in my mock thread that threads like this one are bound to to happen. The next one is - draft more from the Q!! The Pens did and they won the cup! (drafting twice first overall after tanking sure helped though)

And Pittsburgh has more Quebecers than Americans, but no one in Detroit seems to care.

Get me a cup, I don't mind where the players come from.

Just how Mario Lemieux start to lose his french . He been losing his quebecer accent a long time ago.Now he's starting to lose his french. It's funny how french canadian lose their french/accent if they stay in usa .. But the russian don't lose it at all(russian)

It's heartbreaking from someone that cherish his native tongue and culture.I don't care if sydney crosby lose it.But Mario Lemieux?

Indeed, you named ex-conn smythe winners from quebec of which only 1 is still playing. Said player lost his starter spot to a rookie. I am unsure what your point is supposed to be...

I'm sure he still knows it well, though he might have became more comfortable with English.

My point was simply that French Canadians can also win the Conn Smythe, as it was pointed out that a Russian won it this year. No more, no less...
