HAHA, it was a bit interesting. The Hartnell comment was hilarious! So was the "im gonna take some heat for this" as he was missing the targets. HAHA

Sean's gotta spend some time in the barn with the Staal brothers... him and Marc can compete for last place.

I loved how he said "so I turned around and this kid Scotty Hartnell... who's a bit of a clown..." hahahaha

That was awful. Between Fallon interrupting him constantly and Avery being pretty uninteresting the interview bombed. Then it got worse with the shooting competition. Still not sure why he was on... maybe for the charity? maybe cuz Fallon and Avery were messed up at Bonaroo and Fallon needed a fill in for Monday night?

lol at calling scott hartnell a "kid" and "a bit of a clown"

sean avery was firing those pucks pretty hard.. its a little more difficult to do that on floor as opposed to ice... all in all, i really do like hearing stories like him and lupul hugging it out whereever they were partying together...

sean avery isn't as much of a goon as we all think. he can admit the stuff he had done was a bit foolish in the past too.

You could see how much of a mess he felt that Dallas fiasco was. Good to see him back where he belongs.

I kinda wish he HAD punched Jimmy Fallon in the face, would have made it a hell of a lot more interesting.

In the end, though, I love the guy, and am SO happy he is back where he belongs: the New York Rangers.

If Sean had just punched him and took the mic and just made the show his own then I don't think anyone would have noticed or cared.

I'm sure the Roots ****ing know or care who the Flyers are. They probably couldn't tell you the difference between Bobby Clarke and Bob Dole.

pretty weak segment in all honesty. Now these god damned losers Spencer and Heidi I KEEP hearing about are on... who even ARE these people?!

One note... firing pucks while not on skates is weird... the blade angle is screwed up.

Ehh, the Roots strike me as the type of guys who would be into hockey. They came to my college and they are super cool, really down to earth and so far have made for the best performance I have ever seen.

yeah, wierd floor, new stick, not a real goal. Not exactly setting anyone up for success there.

I'm sure they're great people, but I highly doubt they watch hockey.

I was really shocked by this. As somebody who thought he got an unfair deal in the whole thing, he does seem extremely grateful to be where he is. The remorse is just a shock. If I were in the situation, I'm not sure I could ever be convinced that making a bad joke like that was some kind of awful sin worthy of that punishment.

Plenty of reasons why he was picked to be a guest: he just opened up a new bar in Tribeca, he hangs out with celebrities and is highly involved in the fashion circuit, he is well-known due to the whole controversy with Dallas as well as his Vogue internship last summer. Even my non-hockey fan friends know who Sean Avery is, it's not so unusual to think he would be on Jimmy Fallon, especially because his guests tend to be a little more unconventional than other talk show hosts.

I'll agree with you that Jimmy Fallon is pretty awful, he is so awkward. He's obviously a funny guy because his sketches are hilarious, but he can't express his ideas properly. He is probably better suited to being a writer behind the scenes...

I honestly didn't interpret it that way. I think it was more a matter of him realizing that he didn't exactly "fit" in Dallas and that leaving the Rangers in the first place was a mistake.

I wish Fallon had asked him about the whole "sloppy seconds" thing though. It would have been interesting to get a direct answer on how he feels about that.

Just the fact that your willing to devote that esteemed 3000th post to a Sean Avery thread is evidence that your wrong.

I doubt he thinks that. His remorse sounded like, "I had it good here. REALLY good. the fans loved me. I could have signed a decent contract, but I left where my heart really was for something I had no heart for. Thank God I'm back in New York. I'll never leave again."
