Offer for Heatley?

What would Kings fans think of this trade?

http://sensbuzz.blogspot.com/

News broke out 3 days ago that Heatley gave Bryan Murray a list of preferred destinations in his next journey who Murray has spoken to. I have confirmation from a source that there are 7 teams on that list and they are...

SAN JOSE SHARKS
LOS ANGELES KINGS
ANAHEIM DUCKS
CALGARY FLAMES
VANCOUVER CANUCKS
PITTSBURGH PENGUINS
DALLAS STARS

There you have it folks. All three teams from California are on the list(GASP!), his hometown is on it(DOUBLE GASP!), a team close to his hometown(GASP, AGAIN!), a team buried in the riches of Texas(HOLY SHISHKIBOB!), and the defending Cup Champions who include 2 of the 3 best players in the NHL(GA...UGH, GETTING HARD TO BREATHE HERE!). I think Heatley is becoming a fair rich Hamlet(BURN REX MURPHY!) who wants to learn the secrets of a true ninja somewhere else.

I can tell you that 6 of those 7 teams have made calls about the Heater. When you examine the situation, it's a 50% chance that a California Team will get him. But there are really 5 frontrunners for his services. They are...

LOS ANGELES KINGS- OFFERING JACK JOHNSON, ALEX FROLOV, 5TH OVERALL PICK IN THE 2009 DRAFT, 96TH OVERALL PICK IN THE 2009 DRAFT(PICARD INCLUDED)

ST.LOUIS BLUES- OFFERING PATRIK BERGLUND, BARRET JACKMAN, AARON PALUSHAJ

SAN JOSE SHARKS- OFFERING MILAN MICHALEK, MARC-EDOUARD VLASIC, RILEY ARMSTRONG

EDMONTON OILERS- OFFERING DUSTIN PENNER, TOM GILBERT, RILEY NASH, 10TH OVERALL PICK IN THE 2009 DRAFT(SMITH INCLUDED)

PITTSBURGH PENGUINS- OFFERING CHRIS KUNITZ, MAX TALBOT, ALEX GRANT, 30TH OVERALL PICK(KELLY INCLUDED)

Source is not credible. It's just a Senators fan with a blogger account and most of this stuff is made up with some of the deals slanting heavilly towards Ottawa. Nothing to see here.

Seems that way. And I don't think any Kings fan would be excited about that deal.

Let me get this straight.....

The Kings trade.....

Jack Johnson
Alexander Frolov
5th overall pick
96th overall pick

for

Dany Heatley
Alexandre Picard

????

I would not touch that deal with a 10 foot pole. And why would the Kings want Picard????

Nothing. Not even the fee for the gaming license which I would appreciate you'd put up personally.

I agree. It seems like a pretty ridiculous offer. IMO, the draft picks alone would be a good trade for Ottawa. The get a 7mil/5year cap hit off the books not to mention a head case out of the locker room. Also, the Kings wouldn't be guessing. They know they are getting a PPG player. That 5th overall should be golden, but you never know.

why is St Louis making an offer if they aren't one of the 7 teams?

Because the blog writer had a brain fart?

Also how would the Penguins fit Heatley's cap hit on their roster when they will have a hard enough time filling out the rest of their roster with league minimum players as it is?

"While Murray has yet to field an offer involving a Top10 pick in the draft – or an opportunity to move up from the Senators’ current No. 9 position in the first round – he said “those are things we would consider” in a trade involving Heatley."

If Dean did offer that Heatley would already be in a Kings jersey......This is some bored hockey fan with nothing but time on his hands.

Note to self:.....Start a hockey blog with outrageous trade scenarios....I will be getting hits left and right!!!! I can't lose.
