All for a player who may not be able to contribute for a few years, if ever. Think these '09 draftees are can't miss? That's what a lot of people said about Gilbert Brule, and why some of them preferred him to Crosby.
let see ...should i pass to Malkin OR Crosby?
...hard descision, and even harder to get a 2nd assist playing with those 2. Just being on the ice at the same time of them can almost guarantee any player 20~30 points

I dare you to find even 1 post of anyone (even as a joke) that said he preferred Brule to Crosby!! ...I know alot of people lambasted Gainey for taking Price ahead of him though!

Oh man, I guess none of our skaters but Crosby and Malkin have any value. I guess we'll just have to keep them and keep winning Stanley Cups.

There were a few geniuses here. But I'm not going to look them up, because it's not terribly important to me to prove it to you.

I have a feeling this Champagne Wishes character is one who will cling to the Pens' stanley cup win as long as possible.

I know eh? I mean, this happened a whole week ago, it's time to tear the team down and start again.

thats a big fat hell no.

No way we trade Letang (or Kunitz) for a high draft pick that could be a bust (that does happen from time to time....lol)

But he's only worth a 15-20? Good God, what do you expect from this draft?

I wouldn't deal him for any draft pick outside the top 2, to be honest. Letangs do not grow on trees, we need a mobile defense once Gonch's contract is up, and a contender shouldn't be dealing it's most crucial blueline asset going forward - that contributed greatly to its playoff success - for a prospect that could take years to develop into a positive contributor at the NHL level.
Maybe a bit higher than 15, like something around 12, but nothing more.

He's young and promising, but teams would probably like to see what they have in their draft picks before trading them away for a guy like Letang.

Letang's great (I'm a pretty big fan, did you hear?), but there are a lot of teams that would not move their first round picks for him.
