I want them to do away with the entire announcing team...maybe keep McCarthy. Bring Larry Anderson back from radio, as he's significantly better than Wheeler or Sarge (I swear to god Sarge memorizes a list of things for each series and, by God, he's going to say those things every game of the series).
I actually don't mind Sarge (although Conklin's imitation is gold) and I like McCarthy, well at least compared to the rest of them. Anderson is okay, but I can't stand Wheeler (never could, but I need to at least tolerate him a bit since he lives 3 houses down from me).

I'd really like to see the Phils hire Kalas' son.

Honestly, I don't want to see them hire Todd. I'd rather he stay in Tampa and become what Harry was to us. Todd's been there since the team started and I wanna see him stay there. Not saying its a bad idea but i'd rather he stayed in Tampa.

McCarthy doesn't grate on me...but we'll see how that goes as he takes on the big role this season. Sarge...he's just too repetitive. My g/f doesn't like watching baseball at all, and doesn't watch all that often with me...and even she gets annoyed with Sarge's repitition of stuff. Conlin also had a good point in his column the other day that he constantly points out the blatantly obvious...rather than really getting into any insightful stuff.

Wheeler...ugh.

Doesn't he have a full time gig with some other team now? He may leave that to come back to his father's chair and where he grew up...but who knows.

I hope they sit down and think about it now that Kalas passed away.

Cool, bring him and Anderson over. I really miss Anderson's sarcastic humor during broadcasts.

Hell of a throw by Mayberry to save that inning. It's a real treat to watch these guys play the field (notwithstanding Howard's tosses into left).

Why does Rollins only produce on the days I bench him on my fantasy team? This is frustrating.

And this is exactly why we need Lidge and not god damn Ryan Madson. I refuse to buy into him being a stud pitcher.

EDIT: Most likely Lidge wouldnt have been in there but still.

Well, normally I'm on the side of most board members but the Jays are my team and I couldn't be happier with the sweep. The pitching staff is decimated but someone always steps up when they're expected to crumble.

This team is a bizarre thing to behold.

They win 7 of 10 on a tough road trip, bump their record up to the second best in the majors and play better than they have all season. Then they return home, where they're supposed to win, and go in the complete opposite direction, playing by far their worst baseball of the year. It's as if someone flicked a switch. I don't get it.

No disrespect to the Blue Jays, but they're a mediocre team. I can handle losing two out of three from the Red Sox, as they're one of the truly elite teams in the game, but the Phillies need to beat teams like the Blue Jays at home, especially when they don't even have to face Halladay. What a dreadful homestand.
