Veterans available for draft day deals

As we approach the draft, just thought I'd maybe start a collection of the guys that are rumored to be dealt during draft day.

I figure most GMs around the league will tell you 3/4 of their roster are available if the deal is right, but I'm hoping to put together a list of players that have a realistic (maybe 40-50%) chance of being dealt.

Boston:
Phil Kessel (realistic?)
Ryder
Ward
Kobesaw

Buffalo:
Hecht
Tallinder

Colorado:
Marek Svatos
Ruslan Salei
Brett Clark

Detroit:
Jiri Hudler

Edmonton:
Moreau
Staios
Nilsson

NYR:
Scott Gomez

Ottawa:
Danny Heatley

Philadelphia:
Lupul
Jones
Carle

Pittsburgh:
Pascal Dupuis

San Jose:
Cheechoo
Vlasic
Michalek
Clowe

St. Louis:
Jay McKee

Toronto:
Stajan
Kubina
Ponikarovsky

It sounds like the Pens are shopping Pascal Dupuis for sure, and I wouldn't be surprised if they also made Mark Eaton available. Both could be salary-cap casualties.

Just wondering what does everyone here think it would take to either get Kessel or Heatley to Fla?

Does Jbo+Olesz+1st rounder sound enough? Just spitballin' here, don't hurt me too much. Jabo is ....well Jabo. Either Ott or Bos would instantly improve their team if Bo signs with them. Olesz has tons of potential and if stays healthy, can provide a lot of scoring depth, and a 1st in 2009.

pantherfan, jbo has almost no value to fla now, he will be a ufa in 11 days, you cannot make him the centre piece of any trade, unless all you want back is like a 2nd round pick for early negotiation rights.

I did not look at the proposal, but just saying that J'Bo doesn't really have much value, if any at all, at the draft next week.

Sharks on the block imo:

Cheechoo
Vlasic
Michalek
Clowe (not really a vet)

very remote chance of Marleau or Nabakov

No, It isn't that Boston trades Kessel.

Ryder and Ward could probably be available.

Edmonton will probably be looking to move (Award Winning!) Moreau, Staios, Nilsson and maybe a few others. They probably won't be very successful in their endeavors though.

Toronto: Possibly Stajan, Kubina maybe Ponikarovsky. Small chance for Kaberle.

You could add Ruslan Salei and Brett Clark to the list for the Avs along with Svatos.

Well, if all the rumors and speculation are correct, then Jay Bo has made a list of 6 possible teams he'd like to go too. How do you know Ott or Boston won't be on the list? I know we have he has no value right now but if Boston was on that list that he'd like to play for,and the Panthers notify Boston of this, you never know what might happen if he has a greater chance of signing with them.

not to get into whether these guys WILL be traded or not.. or how bad the contacts are..

theses are the guys that the hawks will entertain offers for if they get them (IMO):

Campbell
Huet
Versteeg
Buff
Barker

i dont think they would let barker go, i dont think campbell or huet will get serious offers..

i dont think they would let go of versteeg either

i think buff is gone, soon.. his value is tremendous right now and his 3 million dollar contract will hurt chicago next year.. this also means they have no need to trade them right now, but eventually

Why would anyone want Pascal Dupuis? I think that's funny

Eaton makes $2M and would be a cap casualty? You'd have to replace him, and you aren't going to find too many top 4 defensemen for less than what he makes.

I'd have to imagine that Kobasew and Sturm are the 2 Bruins most likely to be moved in the next few weeks. Would move either for a 2nd round pick or decent (not stud) prospect

I would add Alex Auld for Ottawa.
