Seriously, why don't we have a statue of Luc, someone who after being traded everywhere still wanted to come back as a Kings player, someone who actually had passion to play with the Kings unlike Greztky who asked to be traded

De La Hoya is just lucky Vargas' camp rushed him into the big fights. Otherwise he would've lost the biggest fight of his career.
Luc DID go to the Red Wings to win a Cup.. Thats the only thing that keeps me from saying yes. I want somebody to win a Cup with us first before they get a statue.

Lot of players you could put there. Gretzky sold hockey in the west and is one of the greatest players of all time. Luc may be one of the best Kings(and the best left winger), but not a statue player. Retire his jersey. That's the better honor.

To the people who say Luc before Wayne - did Wayne not build hockey in LA? Did he not turn LA into a somewhat legitimate hockey location?
There would be no Anaheim/San Jose/Phoenix etc. without the Wayne trade - relative to his importance, if Luc gets a life-size statue, Wayne should get a statue the size of the whole damn arena
