i like to eat lamb before big games because 'lamb' in cantonese sounds like 'win' in the same language

I don't have much in the way of superstitions for playing hockey.

I have a ritual of eating cornflakes as a pregame meal ... it works for me.

Have to take a pre-game dump always, otherwise I might feel sluggish.

I'm the opposite. Everything left goes on first, always in the same order. Not sure if it's superstition so much as habit, though.

That's my main one. The other is just my left skate before my right, nothing else.

not many superstitions but when it's a pressure game i take 30mins-1hr mental prep to get me in the mood. Oh and always left post then right post tap with my stick. I once did right first and we lost so left or we lose with me

Ditto...the Pre-Game Poop! While i'm taking the PGP, I have to listen to "Ready to Roll" by Jet Black Stare...then I march out onto the ice.

Other than that, it's not uncommon for me to spend about an hour taping my blade so that every overlap is identical to the previous one. It has to be perfect. I'm not a big goal scorer, but if I think the tape job sucks, it screws with my head and it throws me off of my game.

Depends on my play. If I'm doing well and scoring, I don't touch the tape on my blade, no matter how ****** it is. The game I don't play well and I don't score, that tape must immediately come off. The minute I sit down in the locker room, I rip the tape off.
