Cheerleaders in hockey..... (or even other sports, I suppose)

This made me laugh so hard, I had to make a thread about it. I was reading an article by following a KK link from a Vernon, BC, paper, summer home to guys like Ozzie and Kenny. Now, I can understand young girls (as in teenyboppers) wanting to prance around and act all silly, but there's just something weird about adult women doing the same at pro sporting events. This quote might go a long way to explaining the mentality:

When Sarah, one of the Washington Capitals’ cheerleaders, was asked to name her favourite book, she replied: “Facebook.”..

It's good knowing that her biggest responsibility in life is getting a crowd excited for a game.

I don't know. It could be that she's got a sense of humor. Either way it is funny.
