Going to Toronto, need some help

I leave Thursday morning with a few friends. We're going to be doing a bunch of things, among them catching a Phillies-Jays game. We're looking for some clever signs, and I'm enrolling all of you wonderfully witty peoples' help. The goal is to get some tv time.

So far we've got "Stairs for Kaberle and a 1st" and "2008 was cool but Joe Carter broke my 4-year-old heart"

How about; "The only cups in Toronto are worn by the Jays".

... Have fun... Visit the Steam Whistle Brewery not too far from the Ball Park for the free tour and samples of their crisp lager. I usually like a heavier beer/ale, but this was good stuff for a light product... and the price was right.

For those that might not see the humour in this...

How about:

"Philly Pride Phans Phor a Phun Parade"

You'd need a nice rainbow stripe across, of course...

Love the Stairs for Kaberle sign. I'm still pissed that Stairs was traded. I think anything you have that is hockey related while you're wearing Phillies' jerseys will get you on tv.

What else are you doing while you're here? Hockey hall of fame?

Yeah, we'll be hitting the Hall of Fame, and the game, and a casino at some point. None of us have seen Niagra Falls before, either, so we'll be quick-stopping there. Aside from that, we don't really have anything planned. My one friend going made a suggestion thread on the Toronto board...I didn't even think to ask here. Do any of you locals or near-locals to the area have any ideas or must-dos?

OT: Please note the connotation for Selke and Campbell... Was Selke the forerunner of Comso Kramer?

If you're in horse racing, visit Woodbine Race Track.

Wanna check out a nudie bar, I recommend the Brass Rail.

Other than that, there are a handful of great bars and restaurants. All depends what exactly you're looking for.

There is no casino in Toronto proper, so you might go to the one in Niagara Falls and kill two birds.

If you're driving, you can stop on the way there or back at Niagara-on-the-Lake and find a vineyard for a tour/tasting if you're into that.

If you are a fan of rock, you might want to find out what's playing at The Horseshoe Tavern, a classic.

City of Toronto outside workers are now on a strike, so you won't be able to take the ferry across to Centre Island - which is a great place - esp. when it's hot. There is also no garbage collection.

There are a lot of great neighbourhoods - you could go the Danforth (on the Bloor-Danforth Subway line running e-w) and get off at Broadview stop and just walk east for a couple miles in Greektown. Lots of great patios for people watching and having a couple brews.

I wasn't kidding about Pride. Church St. from Carlton to Bloor is already filled with tens of thousands of tourists in for the Pride Parade on Sun June 28.

Queen St West from City Hall is a great strip, which includes the Horseshoe at Spadina and lots of cool shops. Once you've reached Spadina, go north and you're in Chinatown.

For dinner, you can't go wrong at KitKat on King near John (relatively close to the Rogers Centre). Of course Gretzky's is right there and is a must see for hockey fans. You can also hit up one of the huge bars on the Esplanade at night.

I would recommend picking up Now Magazine or Eye Weekly and checking out what's happening in town. http://www.nowtoronto.com/ or http://www.eyeweekly.com/.

I'm in Hamilton now, so I won't be around to offer tour guide services, sorry. Have fun!
