Horcoff+Cogliano+10th overall in 2009

As an Oilers fan, I believe that O'Sullivan will be able to take over Horcoff's spot as first line centre which makes Horcoff expendable. We also have too many small forwards hence Cogliano who is too skilled to be a third liner in the NHL.

Does anyone have an idea of what the Oilers could receive for this package?

thanks a lot

PS.(I am also wondering what the value of Tom Gilbert is

O'Sullivan isn't a centre and definitely not a first line player. This would be a terrible decision and the Oilers would have one of the worst 1st lines in the league if O'Sullivan is the centre.

NOt sure if anyone wants Horcoff's contract.

Any Hockey fan of other teams interested in Shawn Horcoff?

Considering I wouldn't even trade Nylander for him, I doubt it.

Maybe Philly or New York?

It's the 10th overall pick in this year's draft.

Good thing he said 10th overall. Not 10th round.

God damn multiple question marks.

Horcoff's trade value couldn't possibly be any lower than it is right now. He's coming off an incredibly disappointing season. He didn't play as many games the year before, but he was on par for around a point per game that season. This last season he bombed on the scoresheet.

Best Edmonton could do in this trade is land an overpaid 2nd line center and the deal would save Edmonton 4-5 mill in cap space.

This package has more value without Horcoff.

Philly could do a Briere for Horcoff and the 10th.

Takers?

No. I think the idea is to get rid ofplayers who are never going to live up to their contract size and length....out of the frying pan and into the fire

Remove Horcoff and put something a little more enticing in there (Nilsson) and ATL gives up the 4th + (and no, I don't mean Kovy, Little, Kozy, Pevs, Enstrom, Bogo, Army, etc.) but maybe we thrown in Pavs

Haha. We'd rather keep Briere at an extra mil. At least his production is going to be worth his cap hit for a bit.

Kane(or any other draft pick 4-10) could very possibly become the next Gilbert Brule....no thanks.
