Haha, no doubt, not much to say.. sucks. Just thought I'd post it, it would be kind of cool to see a double-header though eventually even if it's not this year.

So Montreal is getting an event instead, to celebrate their 100th aniversary? Did these people on the committee see Montreal's season/playoffs? It sucked ass, why celebrate it IMO. Calgary never gets anything man, this is bogusss..

Definetly sucks. Screw ESPN or TSN or whoever leaked it for getting my hopes up. Hopefully it happens eventually.

That is too bad, but I can also see why they wouldn't want to do a doubleheader to preserve the specialness. Truth be told I didn't actually watch any of the previous outdoor games nor did I see what all the "fuss" was about. But having the event potentially coming to Calgary changed my view, it actually would have been neat to attend and I can now actually buy into the hype machine.

It sucks that it won't happen, but it's not that bad. Also, why is the Canadiens centenial becoming a 2 year event or something?

I guess the NHL thought they'd give them another shot since they screwed up the first one so bad?

s****y news for the time being, but apparently there's still a chance the game could be held at a later date next season, along with another game at olympic stadium in montreal; per sportsnet: http://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/2009/06/25/nhl_outdootr
