#5 and one of our D prospects (Hickey, Teubert) and I'm there I'd even throw in the 35th overall......not JJ or Frolov...both dealbreakers IMO.

from TSN's live blog ...

Quote:
TSN-Moderator: Darren Dreger just told Michael Landsberg on Off the Record that the Leafs are still trying to move up and have been talking to the Kings about the fifth overall pick. Dreger also said that if Dany Heatley is not traded before the Senators have to pay him a $4 million bonus on July 1, he may have to face the uncomfortable prospect of returning to the Ottawa dressing room at the start of the season.

Its in front of the kings table guys, that means Bryan Murray went over to talk to Dean.

That's still no indication that Dean has any interest in Heatley

Any Heatley trade has to involve the picks, we need that 9th if they're taking the 5th. We can still get a very good prospect at the #9 position. No way OTT should have both.

Barring ridiculous overpayment, I'm happy acquiring Heatley provided NONE of the following are moved: Kopitar, Brown, Frolov, Simmonds, Johnson, Doughty, Quick.

Well apparently the Sens have a deal with a team that isn't on his list. It's possible Murray's gone to talk to DL to find out if he wants to outdo the unmentioned team.

Dean just dared Bryan Murray to eat a cracker out of his ass for the 5th overall.

We do have guys of value outside of these guys....I'd rather not lose a good roster player like JJ or Frolov...

Don't reply to my post like I just strolled over to another team's board and asked what it would take to get a superstar without giving up any real assets.

All I was stating was that I would only be happy acquiring Heatley if we didn't give up any of the seven players I listed.

Boyle news...

From Kings Twitter (obviously in this thread):

Hearing rumors that Brian Boyle is close to being dealt to New York. Will let you know. TL

I'm looking at Patrick Rissmiller and Ryan Callahan on that team as possible returns.
