2009 Avs Draft Thread Part III

Pictures of Duchene in an Avs jersey? Like those glamour shots of players they draft? I cant find any and I'm not sure how quick it will be?

2009 Avs Draft Thread Part III

Nice to see the Avs got Duchene. Good move.

Now, we have the rest of the draft. And the Avs have a high pick in the 2nd round. Anyone have an opinion on who 'slipped' down, and might be a good pick here?

These are the ones I like:

At 33 I want either Klingberg or Roussel.
At 49 I'd like Werek, Chiasson, Clark, Lee or Koskinen. (no specific order)

Jeremy Morin is my guy with the 33rd. my second choice is Roussel.

Rajala would be nice with the 49th. Although I may be tempted to take the best goalie available with that pick.

Long list for #33:

Charles-Olivier Roussel
Olivier Roy
Drew Shore
Ethan Werek
Carl Klingberg
Jeremy Morin
Zach Budish
Ryan O'Reilly
Landon Ferraro
Stefan Elliot
Mike Lee
Matthew Hackett

All of the above players are possible at 33 and have all been listed near there by at least 1 scouting place or mock draft. I honestly wouldn't be upset with any of those players. Werek, Morin, and Roy I guess are my most wanted but this draft is pretty deep with no clear cut ranking from about 20 to 40 or so.

Does any one have links to the scouting reports for these guys? At some point I saw scouting reports on prospects on these boards, but I cant find the any more.

I don't think we can do much wrong (fingers crossed).

If Duchene and our 2nd rounder hit and play to their potential, we'll have some nice pieces to finally build on in the farm.

If he's there, I think we'll go with Mathew Hackett.
