I doubt TSN or sportsnet would report a minor deal like this anyway. I'll wait until Hammond confirms it....

Hopefully this isn't true.

Btw...why the Rags? On twitter they simply mention NY, it could be the Isles either.

I hope not.

I still see 20 goal potential for Boyle. He has NHL hands - those 4 goals he had in that 7 game stretch 2 years ago were all NHL goals and he beat some of the best NHL goalies. I would give him 1 more year here. He scored 30 goals in his first AHL season; nothing to scoff at. He knows that he has to work harder and I would give him this year's camp to prove if he can step it up.

.

Come on Albi, the kid was drafted 6 years ago. He's a bust. Talented kid, but no tool box to carry the tools.

Agreed, but it seems like Kings management does not agree.

I wouldn't call him a bust yet, just very inconsistent and maybe needs a change of scenery.

Sean, he might be a bust and you might be right.

But I'd give him another chance.

I probably would too, but it comes to a point where you either **** or get off the pot. Probably needs a change of scenery.

He's been outplayed, pure and simple. We've been hoping he'd get things together for 3 years. As talented as Boyle is, it's pretty clear he's not going to get it together with us. Maybe a trade is what Brian needs. I just want to know what the return is.

Guessing it's for Antropov's rights or a mid round pick.

I highly doubt it's for Antropov's rights. A prospect that needs a change is likely.

All that needs to be said about this is another guy from Boyle's same draft is now the Kings captain, and Boyle still can't even earn a spot on the 4th line. Maybe he will become a good player somewhere else, but he hasn't been able to do it here and it's time to let him move on.

Confirmed we are getting a 3rd rounder in 2010. Hopefully DL needed another 3rd rounder to make a deal for someone else.....
