He's a RFA; he doesn't have a few months.

It was the right move for both parties. Boyle wasn't going to catch on here. I wonder if the Rangers are thinking about making him a winger. They've already got a pretty good crop of centers.

Also, I love that the team of Hugh Jessiman ends up with Brian Boyle too.

Jessiman is now in the Nashville minor league system.

It is a good deal. We got good value for him and we clear up the center slot a little bit. It is too bad he couldn't put things together and work out for us because he definitely had some great intangibles. A 6' 7" second line center would have been nothing to scoff at...

This is a move I'm kind of bummed to see, but at the same time completely understand the deal. Wish him the best.

Logjam at center, just another in a long, long line of Kings prospects that dissapointed. This better not mean Derek Armstrong is going to be re-signed, I'd much rather have Boyle play those minutes than Hands Of Stone Armstrong.

Forgot about Richardson, I'd say the 4th line center job is his to lose. They have to come up with some reason why he was given a contract in the first place.

It was pretty much a given that Army isn't going to be re-signed in CBGB's interview with Lombardi.

I think Richardson has third line ability, he has just been underutilized everywhere he has ever gone. I honestly do not know why we still have him since we are allowing our youth to play. He was obviously a safety net that ended up not being needed. A shame too, because I love his speed. But I can't complain, having so many players that you are irritated when individuals are left out isn't a bad thing at all, shows great depth.

The kid has talent but he isn't a grinder and that is what they wanted him to be.

Richardson will probably be the vet forward in Manchester or will be the 4th line center.

I think that Lewis is going to make the team out of camp.

Kopitar
Stoll
Handzus
Lewis

If the 4th line spot is Richardson's to lose, I'm going to go ahead right now and say he loses it.

As for Boyle...what a waste of a pick. Totally and completely **** the bed in what is considered one of the best drafts of all time. I don't think it's a stretch to say that this teams current troubles are greatly tied in with the complete failure of this draft.

Tambellini/Boyle/Pushkarev....Perry/Bergeron/Weber etc.......

So we traded our dumbest smart kid. Those hands were magic. Hope he puts them to good use in NY and gets laid plenty.

All the Best Brian...

He was from the Boston, New England area, so this is a great second chance for BB! Good luck Brian many of us had big dreams of what could have been! I hope him being close to home will make all the difference in his motivations...

We saw flashes of what could be, I really look forward to seeing if this gives him a jump step to being a NHL player every shift. Good Luck Brian!!! Hope you can reach your potential...

My roommate went to St. Sebastien's with Boyle, and he's always told me that the "five-cent head and million dollar arm" mantra definitely applies to him. I highly doubt Boyle will ever figure it out.
