I don't really like this pick.

Kassian was exactly what we needed. I loved that pick.

McNabb is a good pick. Can't have too many big beast defenseman in the system.

But Foligno I don't like much. No offensive upside to him. Aside from his name and his Buffalo roots, this guy's a dime a dozen in the 5th and 6th round. Should have went for skill with this pick.

Foligno definitely has offensive upside imo. For a guy his size he has good hands and some great moves with the puck.He started the season really strong but was relegated to a 3rd line roll as the season went on. This year he'll likely be on a line with 2010 eligible John McFarland, you'll see his numbers grow this year. He is great physically, an amazing player along the boards and down low as well as in front of the net.

I don't really have a strong opinion one way or another on this pick.

I'm still in shock from the last pick. They drafted a dman that is big, mean and not a great skater.

Nick Foligno had 38 pts (10-28) in his 17 year-old season. Marcus had 30 pts in his 17 year-old season. I'm not saying Marcus is Nick, but even if we got a 3rd line NHL player in the 4th round, I'm not going to complain.

Wouldn't make sense being Spacek. Nobody is trading for his UFA rights IMO

Mark Adams 6'1, 187. D.

That seems to be all the info I can find on him. He has nothing on hockeydb.com.

Darcy off the board on that one.

Not a bad move. After Enroth our goalie pipeline isn't deep at all. Nice move with Knapp.

What happened ? Did Sabres management reverse polarity this year ?
They're drafting big... Did our scouting change ? I'm confused...

Someone finally passed the memo along to Regier that the fans are sick of seeing undersized creampuffs with no heart standing around while their teammates get plowed over.

From what I've watched, Foligno seems like a better overall fighter than Kassian. Kassian's fights weren't impressive, hopefully I caught some bad ones and he brings some overall toughness and physicality, not just fisticuffs.

Smallest player drafted is Adams at 6'1, 187 listing. Everyone else 6'2 and 195lbs. or above.

I am ecstatic with this draft. I really am. We got bigger, tougher, and meaner. My only knock is the lack of offensive talent, specifically at center, in the pipeline. I pray that Ennis and Adam can become top end offensive talent.

I wouldn't get too worried just yet.

They have top line guys in Vanek, Roy and Pommer signed for 4-5 more years.

Behind them they have Mac and Stafford developing and behind them is Kennedy and Gerbe.
