Gorges is a victim. We have enough of that. We have to get Ds that are mean, tough or are extremely talented. I don't liken the so-called in-between guys that have filling the Habs roster for so many years now.

Apart from Sarish, I would try getting Sean O'Brien of the Canucks.

Sadly Flames just traded Vandermer to free cap space for Jay Bo.

"Mean and tough" is nowhere NEAR as important as positionally sound and capable of a good first pass.

"Mean and tough" Ds that can't actually play defense are the real victims. They get picked apart by skilled forwards.

This is why Souray and Rivet, as a pairing, were so bad defensively. Both were mean and tough, but neither of them could transition so they were fodder for skilled forward lines.

i HIGHLY doubt Reghier(sp?) is on the outs with Calgary. theyd be silly to let him go, imo.
