Negrin & Aulie

Both of these D prospects are born in 1989. Will they each turn pro this year, or can they return for another year of Junior?

I'm just trying to get a picture of what the Farm D looks like right now.....
Pelech probally makes the jump
Baldwin, Palin, Cole, Spang would all return correct?

They can return to juniors for one more year, taking an OA-spot on their respective teams, but I would be surprised if Sutter went that route.
Both players have proven themselves in the WHL and seem bound for Abbotsford.

I fully expect both Negrin and Aulie to be in Abbostsford next year. Really no point in either of them going back to their Junior teams and no point in them being in the pressbox as a number 7 guy with the big club.

From today's Herald

Quote:
Sutter added Vandermeer’s exit had nothing to do with dollars: “It had to do with the injuries we had last year, and with the guys that we brought up who showed they can play as our sixth and seventh guys. Very simple. We have two really good guys turning pro (John Negrin, Keith Aulie) and we have Matt Pelech who came up and showed that he can play on our team.”

So right now, Palin, Cole, Aulie, Negrin, Baldwin would be locks. If Pardy signs than Pelech is likely down there again. Spang may return but from what i've read he was not so good for them last year.

imo, pelech is ready to play regular minutes with the flames. losing pardy will be tough, but i think pelech will be more than ready to take his spot. palin, aulie, negrin, baldwin and possibily brodie will all be playing with the heat come october.

broadie can not play in the AHL this year... as a junior player it is against the rules
