Anders Lee: Football or Hockey?

I know we drafted the next Superman, but nobody really has said what this kids intentions are.

I mean, star Quarterback.. Star hockey player.. accepted to Notre Dame for football.. Yale for hockey..

What does he do? What do you think he'll do?

It sounds like we really have ourselves a keeper if he chooses hockey. This kid is a super athlete. I thought I only read about these kinds of athletes on Yahoo.com

Going to Notre Dame in 2010 after a yr in the USHL

Quote:
Anders Lee has decided on Notre Dame and will enroll for the 2010-2011 season after spending a year with Green Bay of the USHL.

He could have come to Harvard for the 2009-2010 season if he had wanted to.

Good luck to Anders and too bad for Harvard.

Going to Notre Dame? That means we gambled and lost. What a pity.

Well that really sucks. Sounds like he could have had a future in hockey - but moreso in the NFL. Good luck to him, and ouch for us. Moving on.

that statement was posted back in december. if he was done with hockey and committed to football only #1 why would he still be playing a year in the ushl and #2 why would he have still been drafted by the isles?

i think there's more to this. all the info i find on him is pertaining to hockey but very little if anything regarding his recruitment for football.

also found this little tidbit:
"• Lee will play hockey at Notre Dame beginning in the 2010-11 season. He will graduate from Edina this spring then will play one season with Green Bay of the USHL."

at the very end of this article:
http://www.startribune.com/sports/pr...tml?page=2&c=y

another article to put this to rest. apparently you guys misunderstood and forgot one key element, notre dame's hockey program as far superior to it's football program at this point in time. looks like he's going with the better nd program:

and don't ask me why i spent all this time looking for info on a 7th rounder...just bored.

What?

He's going to Notre Dame to play hockey. ND has become one of the better programs in college hockey.

If he stays in hockey, we may have someone in him. He's a freak athlete with soft hands. Will hold my fingers crossed.

i go to school with anders and you guys will love him! the kid is a beast football player but should be a better hockey player down the road. the guys legs are like tree trunks. i dont know how true this is but alot of teams passed on him because they were afraid he was going to leave hockey and play ball which is not the case.
