Exactly, expect it to be NYR or EDM before midnight.

Otherwise he will be a Sen.

I think I might very well die of laughter if he waits to get the signing bonus THEN waives the NTC, totally shafting the Sens.

Well, they've said if he gets paid that he's playing in Ottawa this year...

Exactly. Ottawa has said they will pull out of any trades if they have to pay the money.

You guys won't believe this.

Hossa is apparently close to signing in CHICAGO.

Yeah, it's not like they need to lockup Toews and Kane and a bunch of young guys.

Horrible move unless they move Campbell.

If he is willing to waive it after he gets paid, he stays in Ottawa.

He is actually screwing himself.

However, Edmonton .... ewwww.

We hope Pahlsson, haha.

Reports out of Chicago are saying that they want to trade Huet and re-sign Khabibulin.

Havlat is good as gone though.

that would be a good move, especially if they can get Khabibulin to take the home town discount. Who would be a good for Huet? Colorado? if they dont go after Biron? maybe Edmonton if Heatley does indeed say no to the Oilers.

Dammit, Anderson and Conklin are both gone.

Anderson to Colorado $1.8 for 2 years

Conklin to St. Louis $1.3 for 2 years

Based on mutterings I've heard, Hossa will be in Slovakia before the end of that deal.

That is effing ridiculous.

In comparison, Richards got a little more cash, but will be 35 when his deal ends.

EDIT: How do they re-sign Toews and Kane???

Only paying him 9 mil over the last 5 years. Heavily front loaded.

Ohlund to Tampa. 7 years $3.75 per (suspect it's front loaded).
Though it's too long, this could be a very good deal for Tampa, as Ohlund immediately becomes Hedman's mentor.

Who the hell is left for us to sign as backup? I feel like we totally missed the boat.

And Knuble to the caps is interesting....not sure how I feel. We definitely need to find someone who can replace the amount of goals we lost between lupul/knuble.
