If the Blues were down then sure. We don't if they would be though.

Don't really like who CBJ are spending money. They are poised to gear up for more serious playoff success.
Pahlsson... Garon... they need more of an impact player.

They were 17 mil under to start the day with a whopping 17 players signed...
Add the deals of Pahlsson and Garon and they have 19 under and still have about 13 mil to sign someone if they like.,..but I don't like the players they have signed so far either..

Not signed: Havlat, Gaborik, Sundin, Koivu, Kovalev, Afinogenov, Lang, Tanguay, Gionta, Scuderi, Chelios, Beauchemin, Schneider, Biron, Fernandez, Clemmensen
Getting to be slim pickings if you want a sure bet. Havlat is the best of that lot, Gaborik the wild card. Very surprised someone has not scooped up Frankie Knuckles. He will be a good signing.

Kev- Clemmensen signed earlier with the Panthers.. it was easy to miss in this thread. Lots of big names remaining for sure.

We're getting 20 goals out of Kobasew for that kind of money.

Didn't Kovalev re-up with the Habs earlier today?

And everyone will still say Kobasew is overpaid and needs to be moved.

By the end of that contract he's going to have made about $550,000 per game played.

Kovalev was already re-signed.
I dunno, Gionta may not put up huge numbers, but he seems like a good "intangibles" player. Not a terrible signing I don't think.
