No, it's really not.

He is going to play in Brandon.

he is going to be part of the WJR leadership in his hometown of Sask.

he is going to be part of the Brandon leadership as they're the host team for the Memorial Cup.

He will seriously have to be the best player in camp, and that might not even be enough, to earn a spot on the opening day roster.

Dean is not going to relieve him of those leadership/growth opportunities.

It figures. All that talk about being in aposition to do something is just that TALK.

Again, "Character aint what you say, its what you do." Dean Lombardi, June 2009.

but I thought no one wants to sign here? I'm sure dean offered 3 years and 18 million max.

Plan B again.

Gaborik should have been signed. Frolov better be signed long term before October now.

Well, with the way things have gone, Frolov and Johnson better be in Kings uniforms for the next several years or I'm going to want Lombardi's head. Either sign free agent talent, or sign the talent you're developing, but 'neither' is not an option.

I think he would fit as DL's short term filler. We will get better this year and I think we could make the playoffs with what we have including Kovalev if we were to sign him. We will be big spenders some day boys just not his year.

Good for you Dean. One year too many and about $2M too much.

Character isn't about spending money, it's about sticking to your plan when temptation comes.

Are there any players under 5'4" they can pay 3+ million for?

And they let go of Komisarek. He was too big apparently.

Two excellent players and one good player who had an almost 50 goal season on a line with Gomez.

Give me that any day of the week over some of the ilk we have put on the ice the past couple of years. Players like Ivanans, Calder, Army, Harrold, Cowan etc.
