Possible Defencemen left to sign

In BG's press conference, he said he was still looking for a defence. From what I see Montreal's Best options are Rob Scuderi, Dennis Sidenberg, and Derek Morris. These three seem like Montreal's best bets. Personally I'd like to see Scuderi be reunited with Gill in Montreal and end up with this:

Markov-Spacek
Hammer-Gorges
Scuderi-Hill

How about Steve Eminger? A right-handed shot who is decent on the PP

we don't have cap space for neither scuderi or beauchemin. both will ask for at least 3M$

Is it just me or can we not get another left handed defenseman. How can you have 6 D-man who shoot left? I know Gorges plays well on the right, but I don't think Spacek or Skillz have ever played right.

I don't know much about who is LD and who is RD but are any of Beauchemin, Scuderi, Eminger, Seidenberg, Schneider and Bergeron a RD? Which one play which?

We do have enough cap room for $3M easily. In fact we have enough for about 4.5 Mill.

After Gainey spent most of his cap room with good players making star money I dont think we are looking more than depth player now.

Boynton, Tollefsen, Vaananen... expectations should be on 3rd pairing D, not 1st or 2nd...

No.

We have that much, but Plekanec, Latendresse, D'Agostini, Chipchura and Stewart were given qualifiers, which eats up most of that money when you need to leave some breathing room for next year.

we have 8.9M$ left and we still have 5 RFAs to sign.

We still have around 2M$ to spend only on UFAs.

Detroit has 5 LD and don't seem to mind

If Gainey's still trying to sign someone, then I can see him making a trade to ease cap room. Plekanec or Hamrlik come to mind.

AUTO-GENERATED CAPGEEK.COM LINES
FORWARDS
Scott Gomez ($7.4m) / Mike Cammalleri ($6.0m) / Brian Gionta ($5.0m)
Andrei Kostitsyn ($3.2m) / * Tomas Plekanec ($1.9m) / Georges Laraque ($1.5m)
* Guillaume Latendresse ($1.5m) / Glen Metropolit ($1.0m) / * Matt D'Agostini ($1.0m)
Max Pacioretty ($0.9m) / Sergei Kostitsyn ($0.8m) / Maxim Lapierre ($0.7m)
* Gregory Stewart ($0.7m)
DEFENSEMEN
Andrei Markov ($5.8m) / Roman Hamrlik ($5.5m)
Jaroslav Spacek ($3.8m) / Hal Gill ($2.2m)
Josh Gorges ($1.1m) / Ryan O'Byrne ($0.9m)
Yannick Weber ($0.9m)
GOALTENDERS
Carey Price ($2.2m) / Jaroslav Halak ($0.8m)
CAPGEEK.COM TOTALS
ROSTER: 22; PAYROLL: $54.8m; CAP ROOM: $2.0m

Take out Weber or O'Byrne and we have a little less than 3M$. It's probably mostly a depth guy, à la Brisebois (not him, à la), that would fill the last spot, leaving us with a bit of space for the season.
