Kovalev maybe, him and Kopitar would be a nice combo.

"The Piece" will be missed, but you will love him he was a real good player for us.

From what other readings i read that he is a great character guy and deserves the best ?
Did you not watch the playoffs?

The Kings D is looking pretty damn solid with Doughty, Johnson (or his return), O'Donnell, Scuderi, Quincey, etc.

Who is going to play on the Pens' blueline?

Gonchar-Orpik
Letang-Goligoski
Eaton-???

Scuderi-Gill is no more.

Kind of a prototypical stay at home with not much physical play.

Pros:
hard worker and reliable
good positioning
good vision

Cons:
gets outmuscled
cant clear the crease
horrible with the puck

Scuds is defensively sound, excellent with his stick. He has good positioning and will block a ton of shots, he's a warrior and total team guy. He is one of the best 5-3 pk'ers and blocks most cross crease passes. Downside is below average puck moving and offensive skills. Also isn't physical, wont be a team leader in hits.

Scuderi earned himself 3.5m with his ability to defend Ovechkin in the playoffs. Big pick up for LA. I am a huge fan of this kid.

Where does Scuderi fit on LA's depth chart?
They've got O'Donnell and Quincey on the left side. Somewhere in there.

Doughty
Johnson
Scuderi
Quincey

That's a solid top 4 for next year.

Beauchemin has said he wanted to play here, but I don't know if he would be a good fit.

He will lead your team in blocked shots.

I'll miss him as a Penguins fan.

Gonchar-Orpik
Letang-Eaton
Goligoski-Lovejoy
???

Lovejoy is a stay at home dman who led the AHL in +/-. We'll probably sign a vet dman as our 6th and 7th dmen with Lovejoy.

Scuderi equals your solid stay at home defenseman that will give you absolutely ZERO puck movement up the ice, and provides absolutely ZERO offensive capabilities at all.

You need these guys on your team however.
