Middleweight who throws his weight around, drops the gloves (7 fights in 44 NHL games), but has virtually no skill level. Spent most of the 07-08 season as a 4th liner for the Panthers.
One thing I do like about this signing is that Gillis is creating depth at every position. When training camp rolls around, every single player is going to be fighting for a roster spot. This kind of competition forces players to work their hardest. By the time the AHL or NHL regular season begins, the players will be used to playing at a high tempo and will be more focused than much of their competition. N
/ Ya, I got all that out of the Tanner Glass signing.
Gillis has made pretty clear in interviews, as have Moose management, that there is a very effective two way street happening between the club and farm. I think this is great for everyone.
I don't have a problem with these signings, but you gotta wonder why Gillis is doing it now. You could sign these players any time.
I gotta think big UFA signings aren't in our future.
Gillis probably talks to numerous free agents in a day
I actually doubt Gillis was the one who discussed the contract with Glass' agent. It was obviously approved by Gillis but probably done by someone lower down the chain of command.

Not that I'm comparing but these are same type of posters that probably made fun of the Burrows signing and now worship him like a god. Better depth you have in the orginization, will alllow you withstand injuries in the season

Right and not that Desbiens is the next Burrows, but I think that an organization that produces such talent out of no where is one worth doing business with.
