According to Baker's site: Chris Desousa (LW), Burke Gallimore (RW), Adam Payerl (C) and Michael Fine have accepted their invites.

Well I can confirm that Myers and Ennis are both in Buffalo ahead of prospects camp because I just saw them both at Wegmans. Those guys are the original odd couple, let me tell you.

Actually, the first thought I had when I saw him was "that kid is a beanpole." He's about a million feet tall but still reaaally skinny.

Some thoughts --

Nice to see Irwin back -- I would expect them to have him in their sights for an NCAA signing this spring. The kid's got the size they lack down the middle.

I want to see Fienhage in person. Him being injured last year was personally disappointing.

Gongalskyi looks like a possible Pirates try-out. Lots of PIM's last year.

16 defensemen and only 21 forwards. And 6 of the forwards are undrafted invitees...

No Eidsness. Hmmm....

Last year he was so much taller than everyone else -- his wingspan is vast. Him and Myers standing near one another was like the oaks among the sapplings.

They have to pay their own way, don't they? It could simply be financial considerations.

Very solid is all I can remember... I'll try to dig up the thread from last year to relay my thoughts from then.

Based on what I've heard I wouldn't mind seeing him in Portland next year.

For the record, I like him as AHL depth, not for the Sabres.

Keep an eye on Generous as a possibility for forward. I remember reading a small article in the Hockey News last year about how his coach thought he could transition to forward in the pros because of his hands and size.

I notice Orpik is not on this roster. This makes me unhappy.

Some more thoughts --
Lamoureux -- typo on the roster -- is tiny:
Quote:
Height: 5' 8" Weight: 152 lbs
Former UND minder, was part of their '08 Frozen Four team. With no Adam Dennis, I wonder if this kid is Enroth's backup in waiting.

I am also a bit bummed about no Orpik. Looks like he won't be in the fold, but surprises always happen.

I was looking forward to seeing Slava Buravchikov.

Interesting to see them shifting from NCAA invitees to minor-pro and CHL guys.

Very tall, righthanded shooter with a long stride and a good shot. Vcv is on the right track - he might be a good AHL signee.

Gongalsky -- another name issue? -- had 16 fights over three OHL seasons, including playoffs. He's had 20 as a pro over the last two seasons.
