I suppose they arent getting him to score 100 points for their ahl team again?

Maybe he has a shot for permanent roster spot this time.

WOW, isn't Chicago already like one of the best in the AHL?

Nothing, but the guy is 33 years old. If he hasn't cracked an NHL roster full time by now, do you REALLY think it's going to happen? I agree with what Rhodes said a few posts above me. Sorry.

Krog is awesome in the AHL, why would he quit hockey just because he isn't in the NHL? He actually COULD play on a 4th line if he was given a shot. Pretty decent player.

Also, what's wrong with surrounding prospects with AHL vets and AHL superstars? Grabner had a good year with Krog and developed more this year than any other year before.

I really like Krog.

If he had a little more speed he'd be a good 2nd line NHL center, sadly he'll be religated to top line AHL center or NHL 4th liner.

Definitely a depth move, though it is nice to have him back in the organization. We were lucky to have minimal injuries last year (except Bogosian) because we didn't have anyone to fill the holes on a call-up.

Give what up? He's a good AHLer, and I'm pretty sure that's the primary reason he's been signed. Its a good signing, it makes the Wolves a competitive team, which is a good environment for the Thrashers' prospects to be in.

Give what up? Trying to make the NHL? Would you rather he transfer to Europe or retire? Maybe he likes playing hockey at a fairly decent level. I'd be content with that.

ATL needs a PK specialist in a bad way. Could be Krog's role.

This guy has OWNED every league he has played in except the NHL.

It must be mental for him at this point to not at least be a regular bottom 6 player.

Yes, I would rather that. He's too good for the AHL and has no business being it STILL. If he's that good, maybe he should be in the NHL for good but obviously something is holding him back. Besides I'm still bitter that he beat my Baby Pens for a championship in 2008.
