One could make an argument that some of the moves made last season (trade deadline types, the draft, the Peverley waiver pickup) is an indication that D-Wad is "doing better."

However, one could also argue that most of those moves were orchestrated, or at the very least, suggested by John Anderson (having played against Peverley, an eye for young talent, etc).

The knife here really slices both ways. I'd like to think it was a little of both, but I've got the feeling Anderson deserves more credit.

As for Kovy; if this team gets off to another poor start next October, expect another Hossa type deal for #17 at the trade deadline.
He hasn't really, he just hasn't really F'd up. And even though those two bad trades that everyone talks about during the playoff year were mostly likely the fault of the bonehead owners, he certainly didn't help (then again, can't blame a guy for wanting to keep a cherry gig where you can screw up and keep getting paid well for it).

You might be right about the deadline trade, but I very much doubt that one. He either signs in the next couple months so we can hear the end to this BS, or he gets traded before the season starts. Even slightly retarded people can learn, and everyone saw how distracting the Hossa situation was.
If he repeats that, I'll be the first in line with the torch to help run him out of town.

Before or after ripping off Ray Shero? Considering the low regard for Waddell overall, I think managing not to pee on the seat would be considered "doing better".

Peverley, Salmela, O'Dell, Schneider.

I think you can give DW a pat on the back for all of those moves.

Look I agree, better is relative but the GM moves have been better.

Kovy will demand WAY more than Hossa at the deadline.
