I'm also saying that okposo should be a 8.0b not an 8.5b, everything else I can agree with

Petrov should be a D either 8 or 7 under the guidelines, he has a lot of question marks.

9.5 falls somewhere in between the generational talent and the star forward. I'd have him at a 10 if I thought he could reach that type of potential. I think he'll be better than the Joe Sakic type star but not as good as the Gretzky/Lemieux type generational talent.

Even hockeys future has him at 8.5b. If he's gonna be close to Iginla (who would be a 9.0) which they think he will be I don't think 8.5 is stretching it but everyone is entitled to their opinion.

The kid has a boatload of ability but you might be right about the D classification

Listen Sidney Crosby had that rating (9.5) and the scouts pretty much unanimously agree that Tavares is not another Crosby. I think a 9.0 rating is defintely right

Didn't Tavares break Gretzky's goal record? I recall Gretzky's bad rap was his skating also. To me, Tavares is as much a talent as Crosby or Ovechkin in recent history. Now we need to see if he produces in the NHL.

I do wish they would find a tough left winger to put on his line. It would make for a potentially better season.
