They have to pay their own way, don't they? It could simply be financial considerations.
That would be my guess.

For the Sabres, yeah. I didn't want *too small* to sound harsh, but that's how they're approaching him. Their forward prospects were the smallest in the entire league heading into the draft. Good player offensively. He could still get a shot from someone once he gets it humming with the Badgers.
So I am trying to work out my schedule to attend on Tuesday and Thursday, at least for a little while on each day. I know they've gotten more into the off-ice work and skills testing than the scrimmaging, but it would be nice to have an evening session in there....

ya....??? hmmm I'm guessing Sabres offered him a low-ball contract and he can make more in KHL.
Anybody have any information about why he isnt in the camp?

He falls under the entry level system. Even if they offered him the rookie max for his draft year ($850K). with maximum bonuses the most he could make playing in the AHL is about $70,000.
I'll be there tomorrow, and likely all the other days as well. I plan on taking player notes and posting a summary as I did last year.
If anyone has a particular player they would like a report on let me know.
Hey Mac, what time does the on-ice portion start tomorrow? I didn't see any Monday times listed.
I'll definitely be going on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Tuesday and Thursday are in question because jury duty, but I plan on focusing on a specific group of players each day. Should be fun.

Good question. I just assumed since the dates were Mon-Fri, that Monday was open to the public. Sabres webstie states that they will be open to the public from Tuesday-Friday. Perhaps tomrrow's session is not open to the public. I dont't think they did it that way last year though. Strange. If I find anything else out I'll pass it along.
Wasn't he signed by St Louis last year? If he's signed on, we're going to have the shortest AHL goaltender tandem in history.
I hope some guys get signed, I love new names in the pipeline.
Yep, that's him. He was stellar with UND two years ago -- might not be the biggest guy, but he might be a capable backup to Enroth this year since it appears Dennis is out.

Correct. There is not session tomorrow -- likely they will be doing registrations and weigh-ins tomorrow (height, weight, body fat %, etc....) as well as orientation for the rest of the week.
Good for b-a-ga. Glad to hear it, though I take everything from wgr with multiple salt grains.
Can't they get a ****ing editor to look over all the grammatical and spelling errors on the website? ****ing amateur hour. Pathetic. Posted via Mobile Device
Heh. I was lead to believe they were not hitting the ice today.
Nice to see Biega looking good. He has in both of the previous ones as well.
Yeah, he didn't look out of place last year at all. Can't wait to see what he has in store for tomorrow afternoon, but I'm pissed that they didn't have today's on-ice session open to the public.
Rammerde with some less than glowing things to say about invitee Burke Gallimore prior to the draft. People must've agreed, seeing how he was undrafted:
Weaknesses: Very soft. Probably not going to get much bigger.
This guy just didn't do anything worthwhile every time I saw him. There was some good production from this guy this season, so I know there must be some nice puck ability there. But I have to see it with my own eyes, and I just didn't.
Average skater at best. Seemed to be on cruise all the time and didn't do any of the dirty work. Seems to have no physical game at all.
