I am not worried about Sopel at all. He may or may not be a Hawk this year but after this season he is done for sure. His salary acually drops to 2 mil after this season. The Hawks will just give him away for nothing or they will eat 2 mill and have him play in the AHL.

For sure. People are forgetting that most of the players in question are eminently replaceable on the open market. Heck, with the new contract Barker is now trade bait for a prospect mini-reload, as his perceived value is far higher than his abilities or potential warrant.

Yes, the GM could muck things up real bad by making moronic moves, but that's true for every team in the league.

It remains to be seen what happens with Sopel.
Even so, Toews and Kane bonuses total $5M which count until they can't be earned. Agreed on Skille, but carrying just 20? What's your projected 12-6-2 if carrying just 20?

But they still have to be included in the cap until they can no longer be earned, do they not?

If true, that's the same 3 year total as the Barker contract, correct?

Yeah, well, later indications suggest it ended up just fine, Dregster. Lawl.

A good try though. Tell your friends at the NHLPA better luck evading RFA restrictions next time.

If this rumored amount of over $3 million per season is true, I am not a fan of it. He has had one moderately successful year. Not worthy of a $3 million dollar paycheck. I don't think Tallon can remain loyal to all these players and you may see some guys traded...

So far you've failed to address people calling you out and your fanfare. I, too, am sick and tired of you selectively choosing your arguments. It's absolute garbage. You run away. You blamed dreger for breaking a story that everyone agrees was factual.

Tallon probably sent barker a dirt cheap QO that he had to increase to 3.083 million a year. That in it itself is an admission of guilt. Now you're so quick to believe some dodgy ass guy is going break the deal on Versteeg>?

Did you read that guys' english? It is ATROCIOUS. Absolutely HORRENDOUS! He can't even use grandparents in plural correctly. Then he says "SUCK IT DREGER" and has all these immature posts.

And you believe him! You're just foolish.

Good.
Hope Tallon learned his lesson. Players got what they deserved.

Makes it harder for Chicago, 6+M tied up for 3 more years. Doesn't matter if you can lift campbell now as the cap goes down by 3-4 + the fact that the 6M they are going to eat up now is going to just be 1M less than what campbell was IF you do lift him (Since people were projecting the numbers without these 2 guys signed + Campbells contract)
