Preseason Schedule - First Game Sept 15th Home vs Boston

Was just going around and noticed the Bruins released their preseason schedule and the Rangers are on there 2x

Quote:
They will open their preseason schedule with back-to-back road games on Tuesday, September 15 and Wednesday, September 16 against the Rangers and Maple Leafs before returning home to face the Rangers on Saturday, September 19.

hopefully the Rangers won't be traveling far like last year.

Considering they won't be leaving the continent I'm not sure how far they can be traveling.

We have a pre-season game on the 16th? That's an awfully short pre-season with Traverse City ending on the 12th or so this year.

Season starts real early this year because of the 2 week Olympic break.

Wouldn't it make more sense just to play the Flyers, Devils and Islanders in the preseason for the sake of travel? Not a big deal but I thought it would be better for the players since there all pretty much bus rides.

Same here!

If the pre-season opens atleast by the 15th for our game with Boston, then camp must start a little earlier than usual this year?

I checked: Our training camp opened September 16th with the first pre-season game on the 20th.

Amen to this. I don't think we have the receiver core to get it done this year though.

I forget if they had 6 or 8 games last year... maybe 6+2 in Bern, so we're probably either halfway there or just have 2 more to go, probably against NJ/LI

I'm pretty sure they had 6 here in the states before they went to Europe.

Yep back-to-back games against NJ, Tampa and Ottawa before to take off for Bern.

You're right, it was 6+2 in Bern.

Year before, they only had 6 preseason games, so I'm assuming we'll have a home and home with the Devils/Islanders/Flyers, and that'll do it.

Smart man fly! Anytime I've tried to sit down and watch baseball I pretty much fall asleep. About as lively as watching golf. [No offense friends, uproar in 3..2..1..]

Only 2 months & 3 days until preseason hockey. Before you know it, we'll be hearing all of the training camp reports too
