we'd need some pretty sick trades to make room for him and it would ensure us having more of a 2 offensive lines/1 shutdown/1 energy line system as opposed to 3 offensive 1 energy. Although i'm not sure of how martin wants to roll his lines.

Personally I hate the idea of having 3 offensive lines and 1 energy line. I hope Martin rolls with 2 offensive lines, 1 checking line and 1 energy line that will be used sparingly.

With Grier and Gill, the PK would be much better.

Please stop trying to add 3rd and 4th line pieces. We're not a cup contender this season. Let's give the 3rd and 4th line ice time to our young forwards instead of blocking their path with an overpaid veteran.

Well if we're not a cup contender we better be damn close to it cause thats pretty much the team we have for the next 5 years.

lets not forget too that the cap will be going down next year, we need to save some space if you guys wanna keep this team together, if not we'll be forced to buyout some contracts. Now is not the time to become more like ny rangers, even though we are.

Not sure we're missing anyone. If Laraque is on the injury reserve we still have Chipchura who just signed.

With Moen, no, we don't need Grier. Don't forget he is 34, and for a guy playing that type of game, the number of years left to his career is running down.

The player missing to this line-up is a kind of David Moss. A big third-liner that can skate. Latendresse is precisely in the same mold, although he his more talented. I would like this team to have an other guy like that.

Well in fact, the lineup is already crowded. I would take for sure a guy like Malhotra, or Betts (to take a former NYR guy), but that would be at the cost of Metropolit or Stewart.

Unless both Lats and Plex sign at very reasonable amounts, we'll have a tough time keeping BGL and Metro in the lineup. So theres no chance we sign anyone else other than ur RFAs.

We already have Laraques....

As in we already have enough bad skaters in the lineup

But seriously as much as Grier would fit in, I think we're maxing out on 3rd and 4th liners

Don't want a team full of grinders. Need one more offensive player.

No its NOT. The NHL said to the temas when they officially announced this year's cap that they now expect that the cap will stay the same next year due to an increase in season tickets in old popular hockey towns like Boston, Chicago, St-Louis, etc.

There<s a reason why so many teams are up against the cap this year, its because they were told the cap won't go down. It was suppose to go down this year also and it went up 100K.

We are fine for next year...no panic.

Grier has lost a step and isn't has effective as he was a few years ago. Adding him wouldn't be much of an upgrade over what we already have, if at all.

Laraque + Grier?

Bring Anson Carter too!
And P.K. will make the team.
