I'm guessing this is an AHL signing - he had 26 goals (and 95 PIM) in Norfolk last year. But he is a big bodied RW who appears to have some skill and grit; maybe they're considering him to play opposite Ivanans on the 4th line.
Bah, just as I update my charts -_- I think this is just another depth/AHL type deal as well. Hopefully Manchester is competitive and goes deep in the playoffs again this year as they have in the past.

I wonder if DL wants to instill some toughness as well as some competitiveness to the club on every level...It's about time this team had a heart and soul...thanks Dean.
In 2002-2003, only had 10 points less than Getzlaf on the Hitmen:
Also about doubled his points last year. Could be a late bloomer who is putting it together.

According to this link: http://capgeek.com/charts.php?Team=1...ary_cap_thou=8, the Kings have 39 players under contract, with two yet to be signed RFA's. So by adding Brandon Segal and assuming Johnson and Purcell are re-signed, the Kings will have 42 contracted players in total.
Next summer the Kings will have 8 RFA's and 3 UFA's.

He'll probably be the guy that gets called up and down all season so that the development of prospects is not disrupted.
That could be. I was also thinking about it the other way, that he is such an AHL vet at this point that he is there to keep Manchester going when the Kings want to get a look at the other rookie tough guys like King and Pelech and Clune.
Or maybe this signals that they are expecting Westgarth to make the team out of camp, leaving Manchester without a bruiser that has AHL experience?

I would use the list above yours. It includes the QOs that have been tendered (Elkins, Murray, Piskula, Bagnall) but doesn't show on capgeek because there aren't any contract numbers yet.
So, basically, we're at 44 until Azevedo gets a contract; 45 if that happens.

I have us at 43. Don't believe Loktionov counts yet and Acevedo has still not signed a Kings contract.
This dude is not an enforcer...he has at most 8 fights in the AHL in one year and that a couple seasons ago....He seems like a skilled power forward who can fight.
