I doubt it will win any awards, but I know I want to see it. Trouble is, I don't see it getting much of a push on English cinema screens. And seeing Koivu in bleu, blanc et rouge was definitely a goosebumps moment. I fear seeing him in green, grey and whatever is going to be sickening.

De pere en flic was at Colisee Kirkland with English subtitles, so this will for sure be there. On a side note that movie was hilarious.

The idea for the film is kinda weird but we'll see how it is when it's done. It has a crapload of top Quebecois actors and it's a fictional story about some 17 year old hockey player with emotional trouble, his mom, who's a nurse and is very attached to a 10 year old boy waiting for a kidney transplant (enter Saku as the most prominent Habs in the film) and the hockey player's dad who is making a documentary on the Habs.

i just don't like the idea of the movie. It looks to have the same basic feel of Papillon Bleu, which sucked. Yes, i know it's just gonna be a simple movie, yeah it's not gonna have the most intelligent script writing or complex plot... but it's the habs so it's gonna make a ****ton of money.

i'll watch it just to see saku koivu say something in french on screen and then have all the media go berserk.

I think the movie will have English subtitles and will play at Kirkland, AMC and maybe Cavendish.

Everyones heart skipped when they saw Koivu, but I hurt a little listening to all the cheers as Kovalev waves to the crowd

I'm pretty sure that, the filmmakers freaked out when he heard Kovy and Koivu were not back;

Man you have no idea. I've goten NHL 09 on my ps3 up to date and started a dynasty and 6 games in I played the ducks and wanted to puke...
Then immediately there was a 2 on one, Koivu to Selanne and scores! Tell you the truth I was kinda happy.
I dunno if I wonna see this movie, I'm 26 years old and Saku a Hab is half my freakin life. Seeing that in theater might just make me blurb out.

I like the new team but loosing Saku is a crime and I'll never forgive whoever's really responsible. Because a guy approaches the late times of his career doesn't mean we need to kick him out for some better young gun, it's not just about the numbers, hell not even about the W. It's about a guy who,s part of a dying breed of players who give a crap about where they play, about who they play for and about what it all means. Then the reason is "time for change" which makes no frakkin sense when that change means a guy with double Saku's salary and the same numbers and half his heart... *sigh* I'm still really sad

From what I remember reading, the movie will in bilingual. I assume it'll have a version where the French parts have English subtitles, as well as a version where the English parts have French subtitles.
